Butt of Lewis

The most northerly point of Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, with a 19thy century lighthouse.

We walked a few miles along the dramatic seascapes and coastal geology, feel like you are on the edge of the World.

The day was partly cloudy with a strong wind from the sea, - the ocean was roaring loudly. That is what I would expect when you are at the Butt!

The unpainted red brick tower of the lighthouse is 37m high.

The cliff is about 30m high too.
