"I did not do long trips.
My years had roots, they were trees
that the heart clothed them with leaves
and let them bloom among the stone.
I did not do long trips.
The people I loved were forests,
my moon friends were islands
which my heart longed to seek.
My longest journey, you,
the night you the dream of the day.
My little homeland, my body and beginning,
my earth, you my, breath and air.
I did not do long trips.
My heart wandered and that's enough for me.
In dreams, in wet feelings,
the secret to make the world breathe.
My longest journey, you,
the night you the dream of the day.
My little homeland, my body and beginning,
my earth, you my, breath and air."

Sunflowers galore as I crossed the state of South Dakota. Finding an angle to capture the field was much more difficult with fences blocking me from getting in close.
My question was - is how do they stop the birds from eating all the seeds?
It was a wild and typically Skye day yesterday with intense showers and ferocious winds. I thought a perfect day to go high on Blaven. I'd always wanted to see the Great Prow , so followed the roaring streams ever upwards. Rivers of water turned into rivers of moving stones as I struggled up the never ending scree slopes . The wind was getting ridiculously strong as I got higher, so sought shelter under the steepling buttresses. It was a wild Trip Out. I got blown over quite a few times, and was frequently submerged in a sea of scree on the way down. Every inch of me is bruised today. At one point I had one leg sliding down and the other above my shoulder. I didn't realise I was that flexible. Just to end a wonderful adventure perfectly I managed to slip and fall at the last stream crossing.
A brilliant Trip Out, by British Sea Power.
