A view of Lake Te Anau as we left the glow worm caves in a fast ferry boat. No photos allowed inside the caves but it was like looking up at a starry sky just a short distance from our faces in pitch black darkness. Our guide was silently pulling our small boat through the darkness somehow avoiding the walls of the cave and the other boat we knew went out into the cave lake before us.

This is one of the ways Camille tells us she is ready to come inside; she appears at one of several windows with a look like this. We think looking in the windows also contributed to her decision to bring her 4 kittens to our door; we caught "that tabby" staring into our house on at least 3 occasions before she came with family in tow.

Macro Monday - Two
So many choices for this theme. I was going to use tiny bottles but then thought of these tiny vintage mustard spoons filled with gold stars in the silver spoon and siver in the gold spoon. I called it two scoops (rather than spoons) as a nod to the 'Two soups' sketch with Julie Waters. You may only know this if you are of a certain age and live in the UK. HMM

Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is an amusement park consisting of an aquarium, shopping mall, hotel, marina and amusement rides. It is located in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, Japan. It opened for business on May 8, 1993.
Covering an entire island, one of Japan’s biggest theme parks!
Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, located in the city of Yokohama’s Kanazawa Ward area of Yokohama Bay, covers an entire island of approx. 24 hectares. The sea, island and living creatures that characterize the ocean leisure park come together in the only park of its kind in the metropolitan area—one that covers an entire island. The park combines aquariums, a theme park, a shopping area, restaurants and a hotel. Since its opening on May 8, 1993, local people, people from the metropolitan area, and more recently foreign visitors, have flocked to Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise.
Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is seen destroyed by Godzilla in the Kaiju film, Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla.

Macro Mondays theme: smell

I re-visited an old set of pictures I took when in Paris in 2003 of some street scenes. This is the second I applied my Lightroom techniques too. This scene (the entrance to Versailles was dominated by plenty of visitors and though during the period when the municipal workers were out on strike, it was one of the few places that remained open. I again added a cinematic feel to this image too as it also lent itself to the process very well.
