Work progresses on the new 'super sewer' which will run parallel to The Thames for 25km from Acton to Beckton.
Life Underground (2001) is a permanent public artwork created by American sculptor Tom Otterness for the New York City Subway's 14th Street/Eighth Avenue station, which serves the A, C, E, and L trains. The installation is a series of whimsical miniature bronze sculptures depicting cartoon like characters showing people and animals in various situations, and additional abstract sculptures, which are dispersed throughout the station platforms and passageways.

This particular sculpture, at the time I photographed it, was installed on one of the streets in Brooklyn.
I am sure that this is a subject that many would never consider but with all sincerity, I am grateful for my circumstances to live where our homes have modern plumbing. Many of us take this convenience for granted and forget that so many people in the world don't have the same access. For a short time in my life, I actually worked as the receptionist for a waste treatment facility and learned a great deal about the processing and management. If you are lucky enough to live where you have access to a good sanitation system and clean drinking water take a moment today to acknowledge your good fortune.

A build which I was originally going to save for some point in mission 10 of the 253rd, but I decided to post it now instead.
I'm really happy with how the build came out, though I'm not sure about the lighting.
Anyway, heavily inspired by Captianinfinity's Mission 11.1

EN: The first bulgaria class 07 loco, 07 001, is shunting at Ловеч-Север/Lovech-Sever station with some freight cars containing scrap metal. The engine arrived with a single open freight wagon as ЛТВ 24792 from Троян/Trojan earlier. Now the other cars have to be weighed at the northern end of the station. During this maneuvre the in my eyes stunning socialist platform underpass is passed. When the shunting is finished, the whole train now consisting of eleven cars will continue on towards Левски/Levski, where this branch line meets the main line. The picture was taken using a drone.
DE: Die erste Lok der bulgarischen Baureihe 07, 07 001, rangiert im Bahnhof Ловеч-Север/Lowetsch-Sewer mit einigen offenen Güterwagen mit Schrott. Die Ludmilla kam kurz zuvor mit einem Wagen als ЛТВ 24792 aus Троян/Trojan an. Nun werden die hier aufgenommenen Wagen zu Gleiswaage am nördlichen Ende des Bahnhofs geschoben. Dabei passiert das Gespann die in meinen Augen sehr schöne sozialistische Bahnsteigunterführung. Nach Abschluss der Rangierarbeiten geht es für den Zug weiter bis nach Левски/Lewski. Dort erreicht die hier zu sehende Nebenbahn die Hauptstrecke. Das Bild wurde mit Drohne aufgenommen.
While in Vienna I got down into the sewers on a tour following some of the locations used in the famous film The Third Man. This tunnel has the Wien river flowing through it; it appeared in one of the climatic scenes in the film.

Well this was a great but super challenging place to take some drone shots. I wrecked several times and after the first 2 hrs I had enough of climbing through this rusted pile looking for my drone. This town Cannelton, Indiana was really cool and lots of history, I hope too return again one day. this is the Can Clay factory which open back in the 1900s, After a century of producing sewer pipes and chimney flues, the Can-Clay factory closed in June 2019

The Sewer King, a figure both feared and revered, was a master of the underground. His throne was an elaborate contraption of rusted pipes and dripping valves.
