We had spent the night before camped in Laurel Hill photographing the beautiful Sugar Pine Forest and had set out that morning for the drive in convoy to Mungo.
I had been driving for around 5hrs when we started making our way through the Hay Plains and Bruce asked how I was feeling. I was completely content.
...and that’s the thing – Daily life in the city is a sensory overload. I feel as though I am constantly exercising my mind just to keep up with my eyes.
From the Hay Plains, one of the flattest places on earth, to the world heritage listed Wilandra Lakes life is pretty simple. There are no bright lights, no crowds, no traffic, nothing but you and the earth beneath you.
There is no better way to truly switch off and let the soul reset.

Doesn't work, as we all know. But I (all of us actually) do have a reset button in relation to my agendas, motivational drives and width of my perception. Why am I afraid of pushing this button? The clock is ticking anyway.

A day where I was unsure whether or not to get up and go shooting, turned out that it was sensational. No other photographers here this morning - must only be on weekends!

The Rising Tide by Jason deCaires Taylor which depicted a series of working horses with riders on the banks of the River Thames at Vauxhall in Central London. It was positioned within sight of the Houses of Parliament as part of the 2015 Totally Thames festival, which celebrates the River Thames every September.
The tidal works, which are loosely based on the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, were revealed and partially concealed by the daily ebb and flow of the Thames.
The sculptures symbolise our desire to control natural forces, but their position in a vast body of moving water highlights our inherent fragility. It is intended to provide a disturbing metaphor for rising sea levels, demonstrating how little time we have to act, yet crucially it offers hope as it resets itself each day, offering us the opportunity for change.
