The Hoh Rainforest is located on the Olympic Peninsula in western Washington state, USA. It is one of the largest temperate rainforests in the U.S.[1] Within Olympic National Park, the forest is protected from commercial exploitation. This includes 24 miles (39 km) of low elevation forest 394 to 2,493 feet (120 to 760 m) along the Hoh River. The Hoh River valley was formed thousands of years ago by glaciers. Between the park boundary and the Pacific Ocean, 48 km (30 mi) of river, much of the forest has been logged within the last century, although many pockets of forest remain.
A rainforest is an area of tall, mostly evergreen trees and a high amount of rainfall. Rainforests are Earth’s oldest living ecosystems, with some surviving in their present form for at least 70 million years. They are incredibly diverse and complex, home to more than half of the world’s plant and animal species—even though they cover just 6% of Earth’s surface. This makes rainforests astoundingly dense with flora and fauna. Rainforests’ rich biodiversity is incredibly important to our well-being and the well-being of our planet.

Salmonberries found in the Olympic National Forest in Washington. I rarely know if wild berries are edible or not so I didn't try these, but they are edible. Thanks to Peter for ID help.

The Pacific Northwest and it's temperate rainforest provides recreation, jobs and habitat for a variety of animals and plants. I took this picture in Washington just a short walk from my truck at a rest area.
I heard, but could not see running water, but there was a hint of a trail going into bushes. After some clambering over logs and rocks, found a vantage point onto this delightful little waterfall.
"Serra da Bocaina" National Park.
It has an area of 100,000 ha. It is located in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in the municipalities of São José do Barreiro, Cunha, Ubatuba and Areias in São Paulo and Paraty and Angra dos Reis in Rio de Janeiro.
Hot, sub-hot and super humid, rainfall ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 mm per year, average annual temperature of 23ºC, reaching 0ºC in the coldest months (June and July).
It is represented by a set of elevated surfaces forming well-defined mountains. The altitudes are on average between 800 m and 950 m.
The dominant plant formation is the Tropical Rainforest Atlantic Perenifolia, very rich in species, followed by Forests of Latitude. On the plateau we find native species such as araucaria and maritime pine. Several epiphytes occur in the area, especially on the banks of rivers, such as micro-orchids.

There are a couple of single lane wooden bridges on the dirt road to the Paluma Dam. Pulling over and exploring is so worthwhile. The creeks are simply beautiful with pristine water flowing pretty much all year round.

Nothing goes to waste as the forest reclaims it's own to foster new life.
A friendly circle. They are all admiring the one yellow and black froggie in their group, who is very much enjoying their admiration! Of course each of these tiny frogs are so amazing in their colors and patterns, both as toys and all the more in real life!

Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.
I really loved Panama City. You can be in the surrounding rainforest in the morning watching exotic birds. With less than a 1/2 kilometer walk, you can then have a picnic along the Panama Canal lazily watching large boats floating by. By evening, and a 45 minute bus ride, you are back in this big and ultra modern city for a lovely walk and a beautiful skyline.
