Dieses Gebäude hab ich schon einmal 2005 fotografiert, allerdings mit einer grottenschlachten Kamera und bei einem mehr als nur miesen Wetter. Letztes Jahr hatte ich unwahrscheinliches Glück... zumindest mit dem Wetter. Da man bei der Kamera nicht gerade von Glück sprechen kann.
This building I've ever photographed 2005, but with a grotto slaughter camera and at a more than just lousy weather. Last year I had improbable happiness ... at least with the weather. Since you can not just talk about luck with the camera.

Announcing the launch of my newest visual project, which I'm calling "Warp Drive". WD is a variation of the panoramic sabotage that I called "TumbleWorld", which breaks up the image into planes, fragments or dimensions. "Warp Drive" is also about manipulating the iPhone's panoramic function. Yet, instead of breaking up the image, WD seeks to radically warp or stretch it. As in "Pano-sabotage", the image is created by the movement of the hand with the effect of this movement manifesting IN the camera, as opposed to software manipulation occuring OUTSIDE the capture device.
This image IS photo manipulated but only with light and colour effects. The stretched composition was achieved by moving the iPhone camera around in an exaggerated arc of 180 degrees. Standard "wide-angle" panoramic photography demands that the camera be moved in a straight line across the scene. "Warp Drive's" technique, like "Pano-Sabotage", defies the convention, seeking to push the technical idiosyncrasy into another form of extreme.
So, "Warp Drive" is the name of this project, as "TumbleWorld" is the name of the fragmented style of the last 2 years, and the technique I'm using here I'm calling "PANO-Xtreme", as opposed to "PANO-Sabotage" seen In "TumbleWorld".

A juvenile queen triggerfish (Balistes vetula). This one is probably about 2-3cm from head to tail. Small, but not as small as an earlier find (posted here). Nevertheless, they are a rare find, so it was a thrill. No luck getting a sandy background, but the clean blue will do.
Queen triggerfish grow up to be some of the most beautiful and impressive fish on the reef. As adults their fins become more dramatic and their coloration is stunning. But like with most creatures, small is cute.
