Every plastic diaper you wear will end up either burned or in a landfill for centuries to come. Composed of a mix of different plastics (polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, and synthetic resins), diapers are incredibly hard to recycle. It's better to burn them, despite the toxic fumes.

The pan is full of half-melted plastic. The plastic packaging had stuck to the edges, and stirring all those pieces helps them melt. Would you like to add your diaper to the pot? It lacks some sexy pink princess pullups...

Each diaper contains 20g of plastic. That's 600g of plastic per month, and over 7kg per year. Over 30 years, that's more than 200kg of plastic waste. Multiplied by the number of diaper lovers it's huge. All this plastic has to be burned as we go along. These 4 bags contain around 4 months' worth of plastic waste.
