A power supply is needed for the BlinkM because the AVRISPmkII doesn't provide power. The battery pack shown contains four 1.2V NiMH rechargeable batteries, giving 4.8V, almost exactly the 5VDC BlinkM is designed for. You could also use the 5V & Gnd lines from an Arduino, or any other source of 5VDC.
I found these old models I built for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 back in 2002. There's a car, a hearse and a limo. The car is based on a 1960s Ford Galaxie and is around 375 polys. The wheels were placeholder wheels, and are a massive 36 polygons apiece.

CityCampHNL Hackathon was held on Jan 20, 21, 2012 at the McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park. Six teams did a great job developing apps based on City data.
Switch on the left cleaned up with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol). I cleaned them all up in the same way. A couple of keys were getting stuck, due to the white nylon plunger binding in the black plastic outer part. I very carefully greased those switches.

Having seen designs for Charles Babbage’s calculating device the Difference Engine, in 1842 at the age of 27, Ada Lovelace wrote the first ever computer program. She had seen the potential for this and his subsequent machines not only for mathematics and science, but also for creating art.
Although these devices were never fully built in her lifetime, she also envisaged programming them using punch cards similar to those used in weaving looms at the time.
The daughter of poet Lord Byron and Anne Isabella Millibanke, who was interested in mathematics and science and nicknamed ‘The Princess of Parallelograms’ by Byron, the artwork is designed to also work upside-down with Ada as the Difference Engine, the Art, Maths/Science as her ‘input’ and code as her ‘output’.
Bryon left Ada and her mother when Ada was 1 month old and they never met again. The punchcard code is a poem he wrote for her entitled ‘Childe Harold’.
An 8-step analogue sequencer/programmer, newly-built, not quite working 100% as yet. It's an iteration of Ken Stone's excellent design, and a set of PCBs is available here, if you want to build one yourself. Recommended, but not for a first electro-music DIY project, there's a lot of wiring up involved.
