Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Although you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Without a hurt the heart is hollow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
The fire of September that made us mellow.
Deep in December, our hearts should remember
And follow.

I spotted this beauty with a "For Sale" sign in the window on a well kept looking farmstead in Southeast Michigan. I could have cropped more tightly to emphasize the truck for Truck Thursday, but I rather like the look of the entire scene, and I think the truck stands out sufficiently to be the focal point.
HTT!
I'm feeling nostalgic as mellow September softens the heat of summer and a hint of fall is in the air.
"Try to remember the kind of September, when life was slow and oh, so mellow
When grass was green and grain was yellow
When you were a tender and callow fellow
Try to remember ..."

This rabbit was lying down on the edge of a walking trail at dusk and didn't move an inch when he saw me. He allowed me to shoot some photos, got up once to stretch, then plopped right back down in the same spot. He must have been tuckered out after a long day.
Thanks for your visits, faves and comments. Have a great weekend!

I planted milkweed plant for the Monarchs last year and they have found it. They arrived and chase each other around in a mating frenzy. The background is the lake and a yellow, green Mop Cypress.

They call me mellow yellow...that's about all of the song I know, however you can't mistake the song of the Yellow Warbler. This one was a bit flighty and didn't stick around long enough to belt out a few bars.
