Natural Light Still Life
Digital Photography
How does the use of only natural light influence the composition and detail of a subject? I believe that only using sunlight on a subject exhibits the true color of the object. Sunlight is not as harsh and offers a softer glow that cannot be imitated by artificial light. In this picture, the sun is hitting the props on the left. I used a reflector to eliminate the harsh shadows on the right. The natural sunlight pulled the white out of the coffee cup while also creating a great contrast between the grass and the crystal platter.
