Sometimes use a fisdheye lens can help to achieve some stunning results from a lot of "canonical" shots.
When I bought my Sigma 15mm f/2.8 FE, I was planning something totally different, something I haven't still realized, but one day I will.
Anyway, since that day I never left my small toy at home, and when I see some peculiar features in a panorama or in a landscape that can "do the job", I don't hesitate to take some shots with it.
Then, here's another "fisheyed" image, a view of the Grand Canyon, close to Mather Point, with a voluntarily exagerated earth curvature, to emphatize more the greatness of the place I was watching before me.

David Lynch directed in 1980, the film "The Elephant Man" based on the true story of Joseph Merrick, known as "The Elephant Man". Merrick was born in 1862 in Leicester. A year and a half after his birth, he began to suffer from malformations throughout his body, a process that accelerated and worsened at the age of five. Joseph Merrick suffered from Proteus syndrome, a hereditary genetic syndrome that manifests itself in the embryonic phase, due to a mutation in the human genome. This syndrome causes excessive skin growth, abnormal bone development and the formation of tumours in the upper half of the body. Joseph Merrick wandered for years at fairs and freak shows, where he was displayed for cruel mocking. Despite his illness and ill-treatment, Joseph Merrick was sweet-natured and polite, demonstrating in the last years of his life, where he achieved some peace and quiet, that he was a person of above average intelligence. Courage and bravery in overcoming his illness were his life's goals, always with gentleness, delicacy, politeness and in the face of society's rejection. Merrick died in 1890, at the age of 27. A sad and very hard film to watch, which shows us the goodness that can be kept in the soul, even being a strange and different person and showing us the other side of the coin, the cruelty and wickedness of those who consider themselves... Planting seeds by giving encouragement to one another is like giving fertilizer to someone else's soul and spirit. It does good and it creates inner growth and motivation in the person who receives the encouragement.
I know this from my own experience, in meeting others in real life but also here on Flickr and inside our Second life world. from both sides, by giving and also receiving.
Seeing others and giving encouragement can have a huge impact and make a big difference. I think it's what we are doing here for each other on Flickr. Lifting each other up and acknowledging each others potential and talent by motivating each other.
Of course, we all have different preferences of what we like and don't like, that will always be the case, but being able to lift others up and make them flourish and believe in themselves is a joy for both the recipient and the giver. At least that's how I feel.
It gives me just as much joy to give as it does to receive encouragement, if not even more joy to be able to give. Seeing someone flourish, thrive and blossom is a great joy. That is also why I decided to have my own groups here on Flickr, to be able to motivate and inspire others to continue to be creative and share their pictures, or continue to make their creations, whether it is building a sim with a beautiful landscape, for all of us to enjoy, be it creating clothes, eyes, poses, shapes, decorations, furniture, just to name a few.
I believe that by giving uplifting feedback in the form of faves, sharing encouraging words, award others, share thoughts, or emoticons. It doesn't matter, a word an expression can often mean so much more than we realize. In other words, it doesn't take much to make someone else's heart and soul smile and feel joy, or make them feel mastery and feel good enough, or make them feel they are appreciated and that they make a difference. A little attention, love, care, recognition can make a huge impact on another person, I believe that in this way, small seeds can bloom so beautifully in the meadow, together with all the other flowers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, my almost 4000 followers who have chosen to be part of my Journey here on Flickr, but also to those who have just visited my Flickr. You all make a difference. I am so grateful for each on of you.
