This is one ornament on my little "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree in my kitchen nook area. Gage and Carley made their Gingerbread House the other day - i hope you will look at the little collage below - they had soooo much fun - it was their own creation :)!!!

Colourful Danish cottages in a historic museum Den Gamle By. They very much reminded me of cute, delicious gingerbread houses.
Gingerbread is one of those things which definitely belong to a German Christmas market. I never buy any but in a way I would miss it if it wasn't there. They have some lovely designs at this time of year. :)

A picturesque Victorian I spied from Main street a couple of streets away. Turns out this home, currently a Bed & Breakfast, is one of those "most photographed" places.
From Wikipedia:
"The Gingerbread Mansion, also known as the Ring Mansion, is a historic Queen Anne Carpenter Gothic Victorian style house located at 400 Berding Street in Ferndale, Humboldt County, California. Historically it has served as the family home of medical doctor Hogan J. Ring (1851-1930), his office, a public hospital, veteran's building, rest home, apartments, and a bed and breakfast inn.
The Gingerbread Mansion is referred to as one of the most often photographed bed-and-breakfasts in the United States."
I really couldn't get a great "angle" and the tree kept getting in the way, so I just took this simple view from across the street.
