changing the stickiness doesn't seem to change much in this setup
Part of the challenge when generating an historical image with Adobe firefly is its strict guardrails preventing the production of images portraying violence. DeepSeek suggested thinking a little out of the box and instead of depicting the violent destruction of the Maya codices at Mani develop an image of a Maya scribe (who somehow escaped Spanish torture) secretly recreating the codices from memory with the smoking ruins of Mani in the background. I got this pretty nice image that only required a few Photoshop touchups. The AI kept generating candles and the Maya did not use European-style candles so I finally used Photoshop's Generative Fill tool to create a small flame in a wall niche of a cave where the scribe is working. I also had to reframe the cave entrance as the AI kept producing a neatly trimmed square opening for the cave. I selected the squared off corner and replaced it with stone blocks forming a round opening using Photoshop's Generative Fill. Here is the Firefly prompt I used: "A male Maya scribe with thin black hair in a natural cave lit only by a small flame in a wall niche, secretly repainting glyphs from memory onto fresh bark paper. Outside, thick smoke drifts over Man۪̉s plaza. and smoldering pyramid stones. Oil painting style, warm candlelight against cool blues, resilience as the focus."
