" No words, my tears won't make any room for more
And it don't hurt
Like anything I've ever felt before
This is no broken heart
No familiar scars
This territory goes uncharted
Just me in a room sunk down in a house in a town
And I don't breathe
No, I never meant to let it get away from me
No, too much to hold
Everybody has to get their hands on gold
And I want uncharted
Stuck under the ceiling I made
I can't help but feeling
I'm going down
Follow if you want I won't just hang around
Like you'll show me where to go
I'm already out
A foolproof idea, so don't ask me how
To get started, it's all uncharted
Each day I'm countin' up the minutes
'Til I get alone, 'cause I can't stay
In the middle of it all, it's nobody's fault, but I'm
So alone, never knew how much I didn't know
Oh, everything is uncharted
I know I'm getting nowhere
When I only sit and stare like
I'm going down
Follow if you want I won't just hang around
Like you'll show me where to go
I'm already out
A foolproof idea, so don't ask me how
To get started, it's all uncharted
Jump start my kaleidoscope heart ... "

Petunias flower in red, purple, pink, yellow or white or the flowers may display combinations of these colours. They can be large or small flowered and some have doubled or ruffled blooms. They can look gaudy, especially when grown as a mass of different colours, but they are a fast and foolproof way to inject colour into your garden for summer.
Have a wonderful weekend
Who can resist the charming faces of pansy? These happy-go-lucky annual flowers almost seem to smile as you walk by. Pansies comes in a myriad of colors and patterns that look their best in the spring or fall when the weather is cool. In fact, in milder climates, pansies will bloom all winter long. Pansies excel in beds and borders or packed into window boxes, hanging baskets, and containers. This foolproof, little sun-lover grows 6 to 9 inches tall and will bloom its head of until hot summer weather brings the flower show to a close. Colors include yellow, red, mahogany, blue, purple, mauve, pink, orange, white, and even black. Pansies also bear either clear or blotched flowers.
Garden Center offers Pensies this time of the year to fill in where the color in the garden is gone. I might do the same...

The Joker And The Queen (Remix) Lyrics - Ed Sheeran & Taylor Swift]
How Was I To Know? It's A Crazy Thing
I Showed You My Hand And You Still Let Me Win
And Who Was I To Say That This Was Meant To Be?
The Road That Was Broken Brought Us Together
And I Know You Could Fall For A Thousand Kings
And Hearts That Would Give You A Diamond Ring
When I Fold, You See The Best In Me
The Joker And The Queen
I've Been Played Before
If You Hadn't Guessed
So I Kept My Cards Close To My Foolproof Vest
But You Called My Bluff
(But You Called My Bluff)
And Saw Through All My Tells
(And Saw Through All My Tells)
And Then You Went All In
And We Left Together
And I Know You Think That What Makes A King
Is Gold, A Palace, And Diamond Rings
When I Fold, You See The Best In Mе
The Joker And The Queen
And I Know You Could Fall For A Thousand Kings
And Hеarts That Would Give You A Diamond Ring
When I Folded, You Saw The Best In Me
The Joker And The Queen

They both have greyish green and white plumage with no striking features. They are small birds with slender legs and bill.
The easiest way to tell these two birds apart is by leg colour. Chiffchaffs have black legs and willow warblers have light brown legs. This isn’t a foolproof method though, so there are a few other distinctions, if they’ll sit still long enough!

The snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus) is a large, white owl of the true owl family. It is sometimes also referred to, more infrequently, as the polar owl, white owl and the Arctic owl. Snowy owls are native to the Arctic regions of both North America and the Palearctic, breeding mostly on the tundra. It has a number of unique adaptations to its habitat and lifestyle, which are quite distinct from other extant owls. One of the largest species of owl, it is the only owl with largely white plumage. Males tend to be a purer white overall while females tend to more have more extensive flecks of dark brown. Juvenile male snowy owls have dark markings that may appear similar to females until maturity, at which point they typically turn whiter. The composition of brown markings about the wing, although not foolproof, is the most reliable technique to age and sex individual snowy owls. Best viewed large to see the detail in the feathers.

This locust tree had several cavities in it. Usually you can tell which ones may be active by observing the reddish brown color created from the birds sharp claws just under the cavity. It's not foolproof but this time it paid off.

“Daffodils are an optimistic flower, and foolproof. You know what Shakespeare said:
"Daffodils,
That come before the swallow dares, and take
The winds of March with beauty."
...I plant them in big clumps with a trusty shovel. I make several large holes all around and put quite a few in. That's why it makes such a spectacular look when they bloom.”
― Tasha Tudor, The Private World of Tasha Tudor
The thick, red or pink brush-shaped flowers on an individual plant last less than one month, but nearly all plants will come into bloom at the same time in the late summer or early autumn. The scarlet-coloured, erect, pyramidal flowers are laid in thistle-like inflorescences, which are made up of red, tube-shaped flowers with violet or yellow highlights.

Its breeding efforts and global population are closely tied to the availability of tundra-dwelling lemmings, but in the non-breeding season, and occasionally during breeding, the snowy owl can adapt to almost any available prey – most often other small mammals and northerly water birds, as well as, opportunistically, carrion.

Most owls sleep during the day and hunt at night, but the snowy owl is often active during the day, especially in the summertime. The snowy owl is both a specialized and generalist hunter. Its breeding efforts and entirely global population are closely tied to the availability of tundra-dwelling lemmings but in the non-breeding season and occasionally during breeding the snowy owl can adapt to almost any available prey, most often other small mammals and northerly water birds (as well as, opportunistically, carrion). Snowy owls typically nest on a small rise on the ground of the tundra. The snowy owl lays a very large clutch of eggs, often from about 5 to 11, with the laying and hatching of eggs considerably staggered. Despite the short Arctic summer, the development of the young takes a relatively long time and independence is sought in autumn.
The snowy owl is a nomadic bird, rarely breeding at the same locations or with the same mates on an annual basis and often not breeding at all if prey is unavailable. A largely migatory bird, snowy owls often wandering almost anywhere close to the Arctic sometimes unpredictably irrupting to the south in large numbers. Given the difficulty of surveying such an unpredictable bird, there was little in depth knowledge historically about the snowy owl's status. However, recent data suggests the species is declining precipitously. Whereas the global population was once estimate at over 200,000 individuals, recent data suggests that there are probably fewer than 100,000 individuals globally and that the number of successful breeding pairs is 28,000 or even considerably less. While the causes are not well-understood, numerous, complex environment factors often correlated with global warming are probably at the forefront of the fragility of the snowy owl's existence.

Billbergia pyramidalis is a Bromeliad from Brazil. It was so well hidden in a secret part of my garden that I had never seen it until 5 days ago, when the afternoon sunrays reached the place where the plants were growing, under the Sacred Bamboos, almost against the wooden fence. The bright colours of the flower attracted my attention and I grabbed my

The challenges of railroading in Alaska!
News out of Alaska yesterday reported that a freight train derailed when it collided with an avalanche. If you missed the story check out this link: www.adn.com/alaska-news/2023/01/17/alaska-railroad-employ...
I knew both employees involved and thankfully both were uninjured despite their lead loco twisting off the rails down hill toward the lake. This is not the first time a train has come to blows with mother nature here, and the railroad even has sensors high up on the mountain that send an alert to the train dispatcher, but alas like all technology it's not foolproof. To read about it here's an interesting older story: www.alaskajournal.com/community/2001-12-17/railroad-aims-...
The train in the news story above is at the exact same location as this photo, a spot I've photographed and ridden the rails over countless times.
A solo SD70MAC ARR 4325 leads a little five car charter passenger train near MP 71 on the Alaska Railroad mainline just north of Kern Creek. Kern Creek was the endpoint of ARR predecessor Alaska Northern Railroad (itself a successor to the Alaska Central) a private enterprise that built north from Seward and reached Kern around 1911 before succumbing to bankruptcy. Ultimately the 71 miles of railroad were purchased by the Federal Government and pushed north to become what is today's Alaska Railroad.
The train is an annual event each March operated on behalf of the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau and is seen northbound passing through SZ72 at Kern, one of the most treacherous and active avalanche areas on the length of the railroad. The train is slicing through the massive piles of snow that had already buried the tracks a couple times this season. Springtime is just around the corner and soon even more slides will come down in this location leaving piles of snow and ice visible well into July and August!
If you care to know more about the science of snow fighting check out this paper by the ARRC's full time avalanche coordinator:
arc.lib.montana.edu/snow-science/objects/issw-2009-0533-0...
And you can learn even more from the railroad's permit issued by the US Forest Service:

The Ercoupe is a low-wing monoplane that made its first flight in 1937. . .The last model year was 1970. . .It was advertised as the world's safest plane, and to back that claim, the Ercoupe was the first aircraft certified by the Civil Aeronautics Administration as "characteristically incapable of spinning." In 1940, LIFE magazine called the Ercoupe "nearly foolproof". . .An interesting bit of trivia is that Ercoupes were used by the Civil Air Patrol to patrol for German submarines during World War II. . .This nice one was on display at the EAA Fly-In on October 7, 2017 at Jabara Airport in Wichita. . .

Gang Starr - Moment Of Truth
"No matter what we face
We must face our moment of truth baby
They say it's lonely at the top, in whatever you do
You always gotta watch motherfuckers around you
Nobody's invincible, no plan is foolproof
We all must meet our moment of truth"
Ah, sure, but just like every other foaming, rabid psycho in this city with a foolproof plan, you've forgotten you're facing the single finest fighting force ever assembled. Dragnet 1987
No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
No broken heart,
No familiar scars,
This territory goes uncharted...
Just me, in a room sunk down in a house in a town, and I
Don't breathe, no I never meant to let it get away from me
Now, too much to hold, everybody wants has to get their hands on gold,
And I want uncharted.
Stuck under the ceiling I made, I can't help but feeling...
I'm going down,
Follow if you want, I won't just hang around,
Like you'll show me where to go,
I'm already out, foolproof idea, so don't ask me how
To get started, it's all uncharted...
{La la la-a-a-a.}
{Oh-h-h.}
Each day, countin' up the minutes, till I get alone, 'cause I can't stay
In the middle of it all, it's nobody's fault, but I'm
So lonely, Never knew how much I didn't know,
Oh, everything is uncharted.
I know I'm getting nowhere, when I only sit and stare like...
I'm going down,
Follow if you want, I won't just hang around,
Like you'll show me where to go,
I'm already out, of foolproof idea, so don't ask me how
To get started, it's all uncharted.
Jump start my kaleidoscope heart,
Love to watch the colors fade,
They may not make sense,
But they sure as hell made me.
I won't go as a passenger, no
Waiting for the road to be laid
Though I may be going down,
I'm taking flame over burning out
Compare, where you are to where you want to be, and you'll get nowhere
I'm going down,
Follow if you want, I won't just hang around,
Like you'll show me where to go,
I'm already out, foolproof idea, so don't ask me how to get started.
{Oh-h}
I'm going down,

So flickr havn't letten me log on for a while because of that my age is under their recomendations. Now I don't know how they found out that; but I'm back now (:
And so that means I havn't been able to upload anything lately :(
This is just a photo of M'nut from this past Wednesday when we got locked out (Me and my memory... My keys were laying in a box in the hallway xD) -- and I kind of like it so I thought I'd upload it ^.^
I also got my "Wreck This Journal" [Also known as; "WTJ"] this week (: My mom bought one for me after I had been talking all about how cool it seemed xD Thank you mom! (:
I've allready started and I can't wait to post some photos of my mess xD
OK; my cat is meowing like some rooster now because it wants to go outside -- so I guess that is all for now.
If you made it this far please comment "Tilde's mom needs to help her save up for a macro lens" to show that I don't bore people out with one sentence xD
Another shot of this wonderful vintage German Exakta camera. This time the viewing screen is focussed on an outdoor chair with a red bird house sitting on it (for some colour). The viewfinder is quite remarkable - i'm so used to LCD displays that when you look at this it's amazing just how 3D the image appears - It almost looks 'high tech', but then you remember that this camera was built in about 1950.
The camera came with a Field Guide which is a brilliant read! Cameras don't come with this kind of warning these days:
"The Exakta is not a box camera. It is not foolproof in the sense that those cheap cameras are. Frankly, it is a complicated camera and sensitive to a degree. It is of utmost importance that it should be handled strictly in accordance with the instructions. One should train oneself to avoid accidental and false movements which could damage the camera mechanism".

Dear Journal,
There are certain times in life when one is convinced that the plan of action is utterly foolproof. This was not one of those times. This was an action of wild panic, the action of a cornered helpless being fleeing from certain doom into an even greater demise. As I emerged from the watery cyclone, I saw below me the most beautiful sunset I had ever laid eyes on, below that, nothing. Absolutely nothing, only the unending abyss that lies beneath all of Aura. Ancient peoples believed it descended forever, but most modern scholars now agree that there is a unbroken ocean of water, filled with all forms of horrible beasts and monsters! And I was to be their latest victim. All this whirled through my mind as I plummeted to my disastrous fate...
However, I would not have had time in my fall to document this experience had I not somehow survived. I shall explain how in the next chapter.
Until then,
Zenas Abbington.
Hope you guys like it!
