Running a good 15 minutes early, "British India Line" speeds past Greenholme with the Edinburgh Flyer tour train early on the perfect spring morning of March 19th 2022.
This is the Singapore Flyer, shot at night from outside the Cloud Forest across Marina Bay.
The Singapore Flyer is an observation wheel at the Downtown Core district of Singapore. Officially opened on 15 April 2008, it has 28 air-conditioned capsules, each able to accommodate 28 passengers.
The Flyer has an overall height of 165 metres (541 ft), making it the world's tallest Ferris wheel upon completion. It was surpassed by the High Roller Ferris wheel which opened in 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, with a height of 167.6 m (550 ft), making it 2.6 m (9 ft) taller than the Flyer.
This is a 30 second exposure intended to get some blur into the water. An unexpected benefit was highlighting the movement of the capsules around the wheel. I used the tripod (obviously) which caused quite a bit of attention, making numerous enthusiastic far east tourists rush to get the same shot - some of them believing it perfectly normal to stand right in front of me😂. All good fun👍
The Red-footed Booby is an agile flyer, but clumsy in takeoffs and landings. They are found widely in the tropics.

The Western Flyer is a fishing boat, most known for its use by John Steinbeck and Ed Ricketts in their 1940 expedition to the Gulf of California, the notes from which culminated in their 1941 book Sea of Cortez, later reworked by Steinbeck into The Log from the Sea of Cortez. Next Friday it's Ash's farewell party and everyone's invited!!! We're going to exhibite our photos, collages and drawings; other people too, and it'll be plenty of music, stars, smiles, art and the nicest people.
She's one of my favorite persons in the world and endlessly talented. If you don't know her already, you better go visit her here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/decometas/).

Young Flyer - Immature Golden Eagle cruising by. This is my first close-up shot of an immature Golden Eagle - you can clearly identify them from the neat white rectangular wing patches and white tail base. I've photographed the adults for several years, but never got a nice pass of the youngsters until this season.

Radio Flyer is an American toy company best known for their popular red wagon. It is based in Chicago, Illinois. Antonio Pasin started building wooden toy wagons in Chicago in 1917, and by 1923 had formed the Liberty Coaster Company (named after the Statue of Liberty). In 1930, the company was renamed Radio Steel & Manufacturing; the first steel wagon produced was named Radio Flyer. Pasin coined the name Radio Flyer from his fascination with both the invention of the radio and flight. During World War II, the company produced special gas cans, known as Blitz cans, for the US Army.
Throughout the second half of the 20th century, Radio Flyer became well known for the popular red Radio Flyer wagon. Today, the company produces a wide range of children's toy vehicles, including fire engines, bicycles and tricycles, and racers.
Flyers in the night. Just trying to be a little artistic with color, time and the blur from the birds in the night.

Produced since 1923, the Radio Flyer wagon was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 1999 and its creator into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame in 2003. Photo taken at Greenfield Park; West Allis, Wisconsin on October 11, 2015.
Griffon Hoverwork have developed a new model of hovercraft called the 12000TD. The new craft is the most technically advanced and modern hovercraft available today, offering better fuel efficiency, low emissions and significantly less noise.
Hovertravel, is the first company to operate the new model of hovercraft, investing in two new passenger hovercraft to replace their ageing fleet, the two craft named 'Solent Flyer' and 'Island Flyer'. As the world's longest running commercial hovercraft operator, Hovertravel operate between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, making 70 journeys a day across the Solent.
The 22.4m craft is driven by two diesel engines that provide integrated lift and forward thrust and is capable of carrying 80 passengers or 12 tons of cargo, achieving a top speed of 50 knots.
Hovertravel is a ferry company operating from Southsea, Portsmouth to Ryde, Isle of Wight, UK. It is the only passenger hovercraft company currently operating in Britain since Hoverspeed stopped using its craft in favour of catamarans and ceasing all ferry operations in 2005.
Hovertravel is now the world's oldest hovercraft operator, and this service is believed to be unique in western Europe. Hovertravel has claimed that it is the world's only commercial passenger hovercraft service. The operator's principal service operates between Southsea Common on the English mainland and Ryde Transport Interchange on the Isle of Wight: the crossing time of less than 10 minutes makes it the fastest route across The Solent from land to land. This service commenced operations in 1965, Hovertravel currently operates two 12000TD hovercraft on a single route between Ryde and Southsea. Additionally, Hovertravel has frequently operated other routes throughout the United Kingdom, typically as charter services.
