Trip along the Gulf of St Lawrence coastline... Stopped at Riviere-au-Tonnerre for sunset, watched the ebb and flow from waves, enjoyed listening to the sound from the waves …
There was no cell signal driving from Sept-Iles to Havre-Saint-Pierre, few residents along the coastline, really felt remote…
There was an episode: we drove inside of the one-way unpaved road from the coastline, in aboriginal area, the car stuck in the muddy road… we even thought we stuck here for the rest of vacation… finally out of the mud, decided to return to the same road…
Another episode: the waves got stronger and stronger at sunset time, almost pulled me to the sea… quickly moved back to a big stone at the back, all went well …

l'Authion, un affluent de la Loire, ici à Sorges aux Ponts-de-Cé en regardant vers l'ouest. Au fond le pont de l'A 87 (Angers-La Roche-sur-Yon).
De 99,8 km de longueur, cette rivière naît en Indre-et-Loire près de Bourgueil, à Hommes, à la fontaine de la Favrie, à 86 m d'altitude. Elle coule globalement de l'est vers l'ouest.
Elle se jette dans la Loire en Maine-et-Loire près d'Angers à Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire, à 15 m d'altitude, et à l'ouest des Ponts-de-Cé. De sa source à Bourgueil, elle porte le nom de Changeon, puis à partir de Bourgueil on la nomme « Doigt » ou « Douet ».
Il n'est pas rare que l'été l'Authion soit couvert d'algues d'un vert peu engageant, en 2022 le phénomène est particulièrement marqué.

99.8 km long, this river is born in Indre-et-Loire near Bourgueil, in Hommes, at the fountain of the Favrie, at 86 m altitude. It flows globally from east to west.
It flows into the Loire in Maine-et-Loire near Angers in Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire, at an altitude of 15 m, and west of the Ponts-de-Cé. From its source in Bourgueil, it bears the name of Changeon, then from Bourgueil it is called «Doigt» or «Douet».
It is not rare that during the summer the Authion is covered with algae of an unpleasant green, in 2022 the phenomenon is particularly spectacular.

I have so many photos of water flowing, from water falls to streams and bubles floating down stream but nothing NEW. New rule to shoot a new photo so I did. Park across the street has a water park called "Kids Town" this is "The Bucket" it fills with water, then when full it pours out like a waterfall. (NOT for the really young ones as it would knock em over)
Had a feeling would be lots of water fall, waves and things like that so I did something different. (close to home as well)
My I struggled with this one - not only capturing it but in the process in trying to keep the colours real and the flow smooth. Well I guess this is what I have come up with and from memory its pretty much how the morning looked. It was from the outing last week with Pixeloc at North Turimetta. Definitely had a fun morning and treated to a delight of a sky. Anyway... all feedback .. harsh as it may be ... is required.
(Daniel: Yep...got soaked from the backwash hitting a set of rocks behind me more than the front waves...Fun!)
Stability...I had two of the legs between rocks and I lent down pretty hard on it! Most of the shots where stable thankfully...Appreciate all the comments!
Its a single exposure using a Cokin GND8 for the sky. Thanks for looking as always.

This ICM image was taken at the base of a small waterfall framed with these sandy colored rocks. There were a few splashes of the water as it tumbled over the rocks. I love the soft mood of this image.
