[Yellow is the color evoked by light that stimulates both the L and M (long and medium wavelength) cone cells of the retina about equally, with no significant stimulation of the S (short-wavelength) cone cells. Light with a wavelength of 570–580 nm is yellow, as is light with a suitable mixture of somewhat longer and shorter wavelengths]

in der Additiven Farbmischung entsteht sie durch die Mischung der Farben Rot und Grün.
Bei der Farbmischung ist (ein) Violett die Komplementärfarbe zu Gelb, obwohl Maler durch die spezifischen Ausprägungen der gelben Farbmittel
intuitiv Indigo oder Blauviolett
als komplementär empfinden. In der Gegenfarbtheorie steht Blau als Gegenfarbe.

Goldgelb symbolisiert Allgemein die Ewigkeit.
IN CHINA
symbolisiert die Farbe den Kaiser: nur er durfte Gelb (Gold) als Kleidung tragen !!

It took its time getting here, but spring is well and truly here on the Isle of Wight now!
Two different views of the thatched church at Freshwater Bay to share this morning, the first shot with the 50mm and a shallow DoF and the next with a wide angle.
I know which one i prefer, but its always interesting to hear other opinions.
St Agnes’s was built in 1908 on land donated by Hallam Tennyson, the son of the Victorian Poet Laureate, Alfred Lord Tennyson, using stone from a derelict farmhouse nearby. It's the only thatched church on the island, and one of only 8 in the country

This is my fourth color photo for the 52 color group.
I spotted this fire hydrant on my way home from work. It caught my eye because it looks like it was just installed. The paint was bright and new looking. Most yellow hydrants become faded and washed out by the sun and heat.
This one seems to fit the Yellow color spot on.
About time i took some more flower shots, nothing too fancy here, just a couple of humble daffodils enjoying the morning sun, shot with my borrowed 50mm
