Koza Han silk bazaar, Bursa, Turkey.
Built by the order of Sultan Bayezid II in 1491. Originally silkworm cocoon was sold, now silk fabrics and some antiques. A square cloistered courtyard with a water fountain (sadirvan) in the middle.
The centre of the courtyard is now used as a seating area for the several cafes on the ground floor.
I haven't taken my 365 for today yet, I have to get on that.... but I was invited into Psi Chi (the National Honor Society for Psychology) today :):)

Sea lions are pinnipeds characterized by external ear flaps, long foreflippers, the ability to walk on all fours, short and thick hair, and a big chest and belly. Together with the fur seals, they make up the family Otariidae, eared seals. The sea lions have six extant and one extinct species (the Japanese sea lion) in five genera. Their range extends from the subarctic to tropical waters of the global ocean in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, with the notable exception of the northern Atlantic Ocean.
Sea lions have an average lifespan of 20–30 years. A male California sea lion weighs on average about 300 kg (660 lb) and is about 2.4 m (8 ft) long, while the female sea lion weighs 100 kg (220 lb) and is 1.8 m (6 ft) long. The largest sea lions are Steller's sea lions, which can weigh 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) and grow to a length of 3.0 m (10 ft). Sea lions consume large quantities of food at a time and are known to eat about 5–8% of their body weight (about 6.8–15.9 kg (15–35 lb)) at a single feeding. Sea lions can move around 16 knots (30 km/h; 18 mph) in water and at their fastest they can reach a speed of about 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph). Three species, the Australian sea lion, the Galápagos sea lion and the New Zealand sea lion, are listed as endangered
I appreciate your visits & kind words of support.

Pinnnacle @ Duxton, Singapore
I spent an afternoon noodling around the remarkable "Pinnacle @ Duxton" building complex, in Singapore. The public skybridge is an intriguing community space located on the 50th floor. Its 500 metre span connects the 7, 50 story buildings, comprising the complex.
This architectural marvel is an inspired community housing project, completed in 2009 - the deserving winner of several awards.

Trying to clean up my external hard drives and I found a few images I intended to post but forgot about. This was one of those morning that the sunrise just got better and better and better. The low tide was great on this morning. Have a great week..Thanks for all your views and comments.
The church was built near the River Daugava in 1211 by Livonian Bishop Albert of Riga, who came from Lower Saxony in northwestern Germany. It is considered the largest medieval church in the Baltic states. It has undergone many modifications in the course of its history.
The church is commonly called the Dome Cathedral, a tautology as the word 'Dome' comes from the German Dom meaning 'cathedral'.

Canon PowerShot G10
A time for conversation and reflection on the last evening of BR Class 504 operation on the Bury to Crumpsall line on August 16th 1991. On the left, set M77165 & M65444 was awaiting departure to Bury Interchange, whilst alongside M77167 & M65446 had just arrived from Bury. The section from Crumpsall to Manchester Victoria had previously closed on July 13th 1991 with a rail replacement bus service in operation, as seen in this view with a Greater Manchester Leyland Atlantean (LJA 602P) stood outside the station entrance waiting to return to Manchester Victoria. As demonstrated in this scene, as the end drew near, the external condition of the 504's deteriorated. An image rescued from a damaged transparency, apologies for the quality.

"Why did the Yearling cross the road...?"
Moose of the Canadian Rockies
Moose (Alces alces) are the largest members of the deer family, and their size is precisely why they are one of nature’s most resilient cold-climate species. Their adaptive mechanism to conserve body heat is best described by a zoological principle known as, ‘Bergmann’s Rule.’ The rule applies to the ratio of body surface to weight in warm-blooded animals. Moose have a relatively small surface area compared to their volume. Regardless of external temperatures, Moose maintain a relatively constant internal temperature—meaning they require only minor metabolic and environmental adjustments to live comfortably in North America’s lowest-temperature regions. Moose range from the Arctic coasts of North America, Europe, and Asia, down to the southern limits of the boreal forest. In North America, they reach their southern extent in New York State to the east and Utah to the west.
The Moose is a browser, or ‘eater of twigs’ as the Algonquian Native name translates. In a single day, an adult can consume about 44 pounds of vegetation. They graze on aquatic plants such as water lilies and duckweed and make use of their impressive stature to tear off twigs high in the willow trees. Summer waterways are important feeding areas and also provide escape routes from wolves, bears, and mesopredators like the red fox and coyote.

The set of temples on the island of Philé does not constitute an isolated system. Rather, it is closely linked to other nearby temples (Abaton) and to the series of Nubian temples that, from Philé, dot the shores of Lower Nubia. The pharaohs (almost continuously in each reign) had donated "the fields" (the Dodekaschoenos) to the goddess, which is the same as saying: to her priests.
On the island, there is a clear gradation in the temples. The main temple is that of Isis, which occupies the main axial position, while the other temples (Arensnufis, Imhotep, etc.) are subordinate to that of the goddess, being located transversally to said axis.
The decoration of the walls of the temples that make up the Philae complex was carried out according to a system described by Eleni Vassilika (Ptolemaic Philae), according to which the artists, following the guidelines of the theologians, would have produced a series of decorative cartoons from which the wall decorations would have been erected, maintaining strict regulated standards.
