Why'd you ever want to leave?
Why'd you go home?
Why, when the view is this good?
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Does the beauty go away if you stay too long?
Does it lose its impact?
What is enough?
How much is too much?
How can I know?
When can I go back?
I want to go back.
I always want to go back.

A very exhilarating experience to raise this Monarch from an egg to an adult and then see her fly away. Please plant milkweed if you can to keep the Monarch population up. It is the host plant for the Monarch and without milkweed, the larva would not be able to develop into a butterfly.
Thank you so much for your visits!

for all of us. The elk cow to the right had to go back and get her baby calf because it wouldn't come. She looked rather perturbed judging by her ears being pinned back every once in a while. The very last baby was hurt in the hind end when it climbed the bank. If it doesn't heal soon things won't look good for it, the predators prey on the weak. Taken from my kayak.
Love's no pressure
When it's with someone who tends to
All of your emotions, don't you
Want someone who's there for you
Want someone who's there for you
Love always feels better when it's true
Love tastes way too bitter when it's you
I'm all out of love, you gave it away
I'm hoping that experience can get you to change
I'm hoping that experience can get you to change
I'm hoping that

Another Halloween and another collaboration with Gwyn. As usual, I am asked to do a photograph but with little else given, so I show up and suddenly I am chased by a deranged witch, with a knife!
Such are the moments of SL.
Making their way east through the popular Byers Canyon just outside of Hot Sulphur Springs, UP coal train CSVJA navigates the tight turns through the rugged landscape.
A different experience in every season: Oisterwijk's Forests & Fens are exquisite, tranquil and inspiring all year round. Different footpaths, cycle routes and horse trails will lead you – with or without the aid of a forest ranger – through the beauty of one of the Netherlands' most unique areas of nature. There are no less than 80 fens in this stunning green expanse – pretty impressive, right?
Four seasons
Whether it’s the frozen fairy-tale fens of the winter, the dynamics of nature coming to life in spring, the musical croaking of frogs in the summer, or the explosion of colours in the autumn: Oisterwijk's Forests & Fens are a feast for all the senses.
Sometimes I ride my bicycle through the places of strange calmness. It will force you to stop and unmount and observe. The forest communicate on strange levels with the soul. It keeps your counciousness out of the game, leaving only the weird sence of spiritual experience...
...with the summer wind.

While Graham took Rufus out for his last prom, I took my soft drink outside onto the patio.
As I opened the door, I noticed our Collared Dove was on the table, so slipped back inside for my camera.
I spent about ½hr out there with it, while it had some bird seed and a drink. It didn't mind my camera at all and I began breathing again when it finally flew off!
An honour, privilege and just wow.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
One of the many money shots of Horseshoe Bluff in the Mines of Spain State Park near Dubuque,IA. This historic park stems from the areas beginnings when Spain owned the area and lead mining was king. The Park, which contains many areas that are listed as National Historic Landmarks, was first developed as a lead mining site by Julien Dubuque. His grave site is on a scenic bluff overlooking the Mississippi River within the park....

Thank you very much for your visits, faves and kind comments.
My dad took us to Cirque Du Soleil on my birthday this year. Seeing the smiles and amazed faces of my children; Spending quality time with my parents; Attending an entertaining event. These memories will last longer than any item I could have received.
This holiday season I'll be trying to give experiences instead of presents. As a bonus, this means very little time squished into shopping malls.
A related recent presents conversation with my son...
Sam - "What experience are you going to give me?"
Me - "The privilege of cleaning the upstairs bathroom."
Sam - "I think I'll re-gift that one."
It's not a white Christmas this year...
But, at least, I get to experience this last year 😅
I'll always be grateful 😍
Thank you and Merry Christmas from our home to yours 🎄

Siento la necesidad de desconectar de internet y de todo lo que eso conlleva; de las redes sociales o antisociales, como quieran llamarlas…
Creo que me tomaré ese tiempo (no sé si largo o corto) para conectar conmigo misma.
Due to a train sticking out of Pierce Yard that was just barely occupying the control point at Gulf Coast Jct., the crew of the Belle was forced to stop and manually line the switches through Gulf Coast Jct. to get off the East Belt and onto the Beaumont Sub; CPKC executives onboard (I believe including CEO Keith Creel) got a firsthand look into UP's ever-efficient Houston operations.
Now in the clear, CPKC D41B-07 is seen getting underway down the ex-MP Beaumont Sub, for 80 miles of smooth sailing back to home rails in Beaumont. Arriving in Shreveport later in the afternoon, the consist would turn and burn down to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX that same weekend.
Without a doubt, the alpinism is an amazing experience with a little bit of adrenaline dose and outstanding landscapes.
This image is taken during the ascent to Island Peak. After a big snowstorm, nobody had come at the summit, because a lot of snow. However, we decided to try. All in all, it was going to be an authentic adventure.
No obstante, decidimos intentarlo. Con todo, iba a ser una gran aventura.
