Poor little bug caught as prey under the foot while resting on rocks. But manage to loosen and flew away. Human do have critical moment at times, but if can persist to the very last moment might be able to seek a glimpse of light ahead

Another angle of the doom and gloom that was the Lennox Head fire on new years eve 2013. The fires encroached on the small coastal village of Lennox head in NSW, Australia. Flames in excess of 20m were recorded and over 770 hectares of bushland was destroyed. Fortunately no homes or lives were lost as over 80 firefighters per shift, with support from helicopters and water planes fought the fires.

Actually - Mount Ngauruhoe, used as a stand-in for the fictional Mount Doom in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Taken on a glorious day during one of my trips to Waihohonu last year.
The day before the demolition of blast furnace nr. 6 in Liége - Seraing (Belgium).
Untill 2014 this blast furnace provided work for thousands of peoples. Now that he is extinguished he looks like a gloomy tower of doom.
Many thousands of workers are doomed to unemployment in this already poor region.
This region with its heavy industry has fallen prey to globalization. Producers relocate to the low-wage countries where safety, the environment and labour costs are not taken as closely.
But however, he won't be there after tomorrow!

This little derelict house is doomed. It's sitting on prime real estate and will soon be demolished to make way for a Dollar General store. I'll hate to see it go.

Buona giornata
The Rubjerg Knude lighthouse in Denmark is located 90m above sea level. The ocean meets the tall sand dunes. When the lighthouse was built it was more than 200m inland and there were no large dunes around it. Over time the sea moved in closer and simultaneously the wind blew large amounts of sand up from the cliff. The lighthouse will within the next 10-15 years fall into the sea because of coastal erosion (2m a year) - this, of course I found out after climbing endless flight of see-through stairs to the top and back accompanied by whistling wind (with my heart in my pants!)

getting ready for the snow, cant wait! with climate change happening, we may all freeze to death, exciting!
