Siberian Huskies at Retordica, Plateau de Retord, Cuvéry, Ain, France

For more than 25 years, an international dog sled race has been taking place in the wilderness of Plateau de Retord. Many mushers love this site to train their teams throughout the winter.

The sled dog racing is subdivided into several categories according to the number of dogs harnessed and in three subcategories according to the breed of dogs harnessed.

Indeed, the faster Siberian Husky compete in a separate category, the other three breeds : Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed and Greenland dog run in the same category, while the so-called "Nordic type" dogs participate in their own category.

Ed è in certi sguardi che s’intravede l’infinito.

And it is in certain glances that the infinite is glimpsed.

Lucy came for a visit so naturally I had to take photos of her. It was hard to resist seeing she gave me those "puppy dog eyes ".

Photo taken on our trip to Loire Valley in France. The Château de Chenonceau was dog friendly and she was able to walk around the beautiful gardens and was able to be carried inside the castle. It also had the maze garden that Laika had fun running around in circles.

This well known, leisure loving dual is a common sight on the waters of White Rock Beach, BC Canada. They are spotted paddling, 100's of feet from the shore.

(** distance from shore, is a guess )

This is Ted who I spent a long time watching while he tried to grab his tennis ball while swimming in the water. Every time he got his mouth round it, it pinged further along. I am happy to report that eventually he did manage to retrieve it

Are you looking at me!

Such a tasty tennis ball... :-)))
