The first B-52 first flew on April 1952, and as of April 2002 it is the longest serving combat aircraft in the world. A total of 744 units were constructed.
The B-52H, the most recent model manufactured, entered service in 1961 and 104 units were constructed. The last airframe was delivered in October 1962. Due to continuing and extensive upgrades, the service life of the H model is expected to continue beyond the year 2030.
The USAF retired eighteen airframes, leaving the only 76 operating B-52H's based at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, Louisiana and Minot AFB in Minot, North Dakota.
B-52's are no longer part of the "nuclear triad" and only USN Ballistic Missile Submarines and USAF Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles hold this honor now; but I'm sure it would not take much to make the nuclear capable, if need be.

Praised by creative innovators like Grandmaster Flash, Jeff Mills and the former Kraftwerk frontman Karl Bartos, Addictive TV are trail-blazers in the art of audio/video sampling and film remixing. The group have wowed crowds at SXSW in Texas, San Francisco International Film Festival and at venues as varied as London’s IMAX cinema, Brazil’s Museum of Image & Sound and Shanghai's Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as headlining at some of the coolest clubs on the international circuit, including Womb in Tokyo, Razzmatazz in Barcelona and SAT in Montreal. Addictive TV are also known for their official alternative film trailers for Hollywood and have created remixes for Iron Man, Fast & Furious and the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire.
