The lion and the unicorn are, properly speaking, heraldic supporters appearing in the full royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom. The lion stands for England and the unicorn for Scotland. The combination dates back to the 1603 accession of James I of England, who was already James VI of Scotland.

Archaeologists work on the second set of remains found in the last two weeks near to the Henry Street Entrance.

They appear to belong to 19thC or early 20thC buildings and are being documented before being rubbed out.

Hand blown Bath glass, from the studio workshop in Bath. The twisted beads in the bowl were surplus items specially made for a necklace designed Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen, so that is my pointless fact of the day.
