I love what Mattel did for Italy, one of its secondary markets! Here it's the "Dondolo" set (Swing), from the 70's.
There were a swing, two rocking chairs and a table.
Combo Pj is wearing two outfits from another italian 70's product, the Mix 'n match paks. These two were found together, so we can say that this match was chosen from tbe original owner or from her/his parents.

Serenity out in the gardens for a few photo's.
Serenity usually has a gothic/ rocker style when she's not modeling, so for her shoot she chose a bright bikini top for a more subtle look because her photo's were supposed to look more natural and earthy. Her makeup really stands out in this area of the garden because of the indigo blue flowers around.
I really like her, I think it's her eyes and makeup, well at the least, her eye shadow because it's very vibrant. Her makeup is what made me photograph her beside these flowers. Please excuse her earring, I didn't realize it was upside down lol.
Summer in Malibu
This is a picture to "celebrate" some of her factory defects that make me think she is a Malibu Barbie assembled with recycled pieces. She is made in Korea and has her original aqua swimsuits.
Joint of right arm into the torso, upper right arm not smooth and looks somewhat wider, right hand has space between fingers and a wider thumb (like some mod hands?), right leg joint is not centered. She also has a big defect on right ankle: vinyl is broken and you can see the inside. I have another Malibu Barbie made in Korea that has the same right arm and hand and the vinyl surface broken in the ankle.

This is the Dream Glow barbie from 2001. I saw her in a box in the garage while visiting my family and decided to pop her head off of her floppy padded body before heading back to LA :p
I am not great at repainting, but I darkened her eye makeup and boil washed her hair. She has a bit of wonk eye, but she is sentimental to me and I'm very happy with her :D

PERSONAL FUN FACT: When I was a kid, Summer wasn't a popular Barbie friend. She was just making her foray into Barbie's world, as I was slowly drifting out of it. So I didn't own any Summer dolls until I was an adult collector. My first two were this Summer and Beach Glam. Both were included in the 2011 "Bratz Guy Bin" I procured at the flea market that fall. As the name suggests, I primarily wanted the Bratz stuff from the lot. But the Barbie items were also intriguing. Since I was so new to collecting, I initially didn't plan to keep everybody. I believe that both Summer dolls were tossed in the donate/yard sale pile I had going. However, within a few months I had a change of heart and decided to formally adopt all the dolls. I think what initially put me off the two Summers was their strange short body mold. Let's be honest, the look of the "hobbit" body isn't too flattering. It does look very cute in clothes though, just not nude. I'm glad that Mattel still makes petite dolls, but has come up with a more flattering mold. Anyways, I don't know what I was thinking when I considered getting rid of this doll. She has a GORGEOUS face. As it turns out, she shares the same head mold as one of my childhood faves, Generation Girl Lara. It's very unique, with almond shaped eye sockets, a slimmer nose, and full lips. It makes Summer anything but ordinary! It's hard to even remember a time when this lady wasn't an official family member. She's been around since my earliest days of dolly collecting as an adult. It would be weird to think of my plastic world without her in it!
Dreama was excited to see yet another celebrity in the store, Bridgit Mendler.
Dreama is a huge fan of Bridgit, so she asked Chandler to go with her so she could meet Bridgit.
Angelique is the daughter of Seth Tatum & Lacey Nold. She has three other siblings,Preston & Jaidon and Alexandria (they all have the same father but different mothers).
Angelique is a daddys girl and doesn't let anyone forget it. She is very spoiled and will always get exactly what she wants.

Nicky is a model and singer, she is usually dressed in gothic clothing, however she has been experimenting with her girlier side lately. Nicky is a well known model for punk rock clothing, and she has been the lead singer of several heavy metal and goth bands.
She chose to do this shoot because she wanted to show she can be versatile and model out of her normal goth comfort zone.
