this is another shot that i took of my old drummer ray. by now you've probably noticed that a few of these are from the same day cause he's wearing the same clothes as other photos of him i've posted. this is probably one of my favorite photos from my ae-1, and about as raw as my photography gets. i really like how different the lightleak is from any i've ever seen and how simple and symbolic this shot seems.
This is my other version for the Macro Mondays "Arrow" theme, an old pocket watch which I got from my Dad when I was about 14.

Looking Close of Friday - theme Dart/Arrow. I had to use an old photo actually part of an old photo. Never been posted.
Nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s sun-drenched Okanagan Valley, the city of Kelowna is favorite spot visiting year-round. Driving from Kelowna to Burton, Nakusp, Shelter Bay, Revelstoke and back to Kelowna… Enjoy BC countryside scenery along the mountains and rivers, at most time, in the forest, no cell signals, took couple ferries with the car, lovely scenery on the ferries… The photo was taken on one of the stops at Arrow Lake (Shelter Bay) Provincial park, no other people around, very quiet bay with leading lines on the lake…

The arrow-marked babbler (turdoides jardineii) is a species of bird in the family Leiothrichidae. It is native to woodlands in the southern Afrotropics.The arrow-marked babbler lives in social groups of between 3 and 15 birds (six being the average) that defend large territories, with the size of the territory being dependent upon the number of individuals in the group. They feed on insects, spiders and sometimes snails and lizards, as well as fruits. Foraging occurs near the ground, sometimes in association with other babblers or bulbuls.
Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,623 km2 in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 km from north to south and 65 km from east to west.

For this very wide theme, I got stuck with my keyboard. I had work to finish yesterday, so I was at the computer anyway, and in between, I thought I'd sneak in some attempts at "abstracting" the keyboard. I'm not sure this image makes any sense, but it's the nicest I managed to get, and it also shows an important "Home" item. Not because of work, but because of image post-processing, of course.
To get nicely close, I mounted the Laowa 50mm 2x macro. I tried various angles, handheld at first, rather shaky, so I switched to the table tripod. With the latter, I accidentally activated various keyboard shortcuts and functions I didn't know existed.
To keep my keyboard usable, I thought I'd better stick to something on the keyboard's side edge, like the arrow keys. I use an RGB/gaming keyboard because it's less boring than a regular one. The keyboard's "Utility Software" allows users to assign different colours to each key, or colour effects to the entire keyboard. Changing colour effects, while nice-looking, proved too distracting even for my taste, so I chose the first option: different, static colours for groups of keys (red for the arrow keys).

This is playing Darts the safe way....... These Arrows are designed with safety in mind, my grandsons love it.

This is one of my favourite photographs from the Red Arrows display at the Cromer Festival 2026. We watched from the cliff top as the planes soared and swooped overhead, with the accompaniment of audible gasps from the crowd. My eyesight is complex and blurry. I’ve just had the first of two cataract operations, not as straightforward as I hoped, and my eyesight is still blurry. I’m just going to have to ‘count my blessings’ and love blur, for now. For Sliders Sunday, I’ve massively cropped the original image and enhanced the colours.
Arrow Canyon is a nice slot canyon northeast of Las Vegas. Photo taken in the narrows. Hikers show the scale of this canyon. Clark County, Nevada
