I wonder if any scientist/engineering types study plants like this that survive harsh conditions where lots of others do not. Thickness of skin? Antifreeze inside? Lessons learned could have applications in lots of other places.

Bodyfy is bimontly event (april, june, august, october, december) that regroup designers of different background that will present their creations in one location. The general theme is connected to everything that touches the skin (skin, tattoo, makeup , scarification , henna , piercing , jewelry, body part, mesh head and more.) The style is industrial, alternative, grunge or other similar style. Clothes are not allowed at this event.
This event is for women, men or unisex items. Bodyfy opening on December 8th and ends on Dec 24 th. Each designer will have to create one exclusive item related the theme and it’s not a discount event. We are reaching for high quality items and there is no prices limit.

We were told that on Generis only a small Separatist army was in place. They told us that 5% percent chance of us even seeing some clankers. Well, they were wrong. Down two men and only half way back to base. Bolt and Cleaver put up a good fight but they were eventually overwhelmed. Now we gotta fight through half a war zone if we ever want to live another day.
That false information lost me two good men and once we get back, boy, they ain't gonna hear the end of it

Trust me it looks better in person, i'm still coming to grips with this new camera :P I haven't built star wars in a long long time so i'm a bit rusty but I think it came out good. Not great, but good. My favorite part would have to be the base, I love that ruined feel. I've been wanting to join for ages but now im back I finally have some time :D Hope you'll consider this application and hope you enjoy.

Apps used:
I chose the primate image from a selection via Unsplash app. Then I took a selfie on my iPhone 8 relevant to the look and position of the subject. I then used Carbon app for a B&W filter. Blending and alignment was done in Juxtaposer app with final touch up in Snapseed.

Here's my 2nd entry for www.flickr.com/photos/bxcustoms/ photo contest in the custom astromech section. I finally received all the pieces to rebuild my #10144 Sandcrawler set and decided what better way to incorporate it into the pic than by actually go crawling through sand!! I did several different shots of this mighty retired LEGO set along with some other comical background figs, but ultimately this is the best one to showcase my custom astromechs. Here we see my "Chrome Dome", my Kashyyykk R2 Unit and R4-M9 being lowered down from the Sandcrawler. These custom droids were made by hand painting and airbrushing pieces and applying decals made by www.flickr.com/photos/kaminoan/. Searching small abandoned Jedi hideout in Malaastre system, large forest fields, everywhere you can be ambushed Zillo Beast or Dug raiders, isn't fun.
We got echo from Imperial Inteligence about group of one two Jedi masters and one Padawan, plus some humans still beliving in Jedi order hiding somewhere on northwest parts of the planet. Jedi with his Padawan got 501st. two days ago, they lost one just one member. We, 41st., splited on groups per 15 soldiers must order Palpatine's Order 66 followed his vision about order in Galaxy - kill next Jedi. 35 years old male human Jedi Master is our target and we can't fail. Intelligence says she should be hide in old Comunication outpost.
Then said web are almost here, first traces of civilization are antenna and some type of vaporator. We must moving silent, like says our training, be ready for everything. We are here, outpost on the clearing in the woods hidden in rocks. Everyone expects a snare but nothing happened yet. Control panel of main entry isn't in the best condition but looks like a working. New plan is raid in base, I must turn on night vision on my helmet because is twilight and the last rays of the sun aren't enough.
Bisk, leader of our group, counting in Mando'a: "rayshe’a, cuir, ehn, t'ad... solus...action!! Somebody opened doors and they all go inside. First blaser voice and... Bright blue light of lightsaber. "Is over, is over!" Bisk screaming.

Jedi we found was hidden in the abandoned Comunication outpost and was subsequently neutralized. He was surprised and did not cause much injury and no death. The body was burned and the lightsaber confiscated. The whole unit is now pointing to the pickup. CT-8678-55 ends

I would like to introduce new RPG group called Dark Times, group is focused on timeline after Order 66, for application - like me, you must make executing Order 66. I have to admit that with writing stories like this I have not had experience so far, and I have always admired the other work and time spent with it. But now I know it's really fun and fun as if you were writing your own book. This scene is from my Comunication base Zero 4, whitch I still own, but I also used it as good application scene.

Market hall, 1936, to the designs of the Horseley Bridge Engineering Company, incorporating the walls of the 1932 open-air market.
Reasons for Designation
The former Woolwich Market, 1936, is listed at Grade II for the following principal reasons:
Architectural interest:
* the roof is a good representation of the Lamella system, built at a scale which clearly demonstrates the structural capability, is unaltered, and is the earliest known surviving example;
* based on a simple but visually distinctive geometric structural system which creates a striking, uninterrupted interior.
Historic interest:
* a rare survival of a dwindling number of Lamella structures in England, of which over 100 were built during the interwar period and only 16 of which are thought to remain.
History
A market was opened on the site on Plumstead Road in 1932, necessitated by overcrowding of the earlier marketplace on Beresford Square, c50m to the west. Four years later the new market was enclosed by a lightweight steel structure with a Lamella roof; construction took three months and cost £2,268, and the new, covered market was reopened on 18 September 1936.
The Lamella system was developed in Germany in the 1920s. It uses short structural members in an interlocking lattice grid to create a shallowly arching structure which could achieve wide, uninterrupted spans. The Horseley Bridge Engineering Company of Tipton acquired the license to use the system in England in 1929, and in the following decade designed and built over 100 structures incorporating Lamella roofs. One of the principal applications of the system was in the construction of aircraft hangars, and the first commission, in 1930, was for Henleys Ltd at Heston Airfield. The Air Ministry commissioned their first hangars at Usworth, near Newcastle upon Tyne in 1932, and in 1936 placed an order for 22 hangars to be built at their stations at Ternhill, Shawbury, Brize Norton and Kemble; of these, a number survive, and the group of four at Kemble are listed, as is the Lamella hangar at Liverpool airport. Lamella roofing was by no means limited to hangars, however, and in his ‘short history’, Allen notes various industrial buildings, garages, a school, and power plant which incorporate the structural system. Lamella roofs were used much less frequently following a couple of collapses in the 1940s, due to the unforeseen weight of snow, and faults in assembly. One notable example of later use was on the Sea and Ships Pavilion at the Festival of Britain in 1951.
Woolwich Covered Market is the earliest known example of a Lamella roof to survive in England. The building ceased use as a market in 2017, and has been converted to a multi-venue food hall. The structure remains largely intact.
There are purported to be subterranean passages beneath the market, used as air-raid shelters during the Second World War.
Details
Market hall, 1936, to the designs of the Horseley Bridge Engineering Company, incorporating the walls of the 1932 open-air market.
STRUCTURE and MATERIALS: a steel-framed, segmental-arch roof supported on steel stanchions encased in concrete and brick. The roof is clad in corrugated sheeting and glazing. The walls of the 1932 open-air market are built in London stock brick and have limestone dressings.
PLAN: the market stands on the south side of Plumstead Road. The building is rectangular in plan, with a span of 29, and c35m long.
EXTERIOR: the principal elevation of the building faces north onto Plumstead Road. The dominant feature is its deep projecting fascia of white boarding with ‘PUBLIC MARKET’ inscribed in applied lettering. The elevation is divided into three sections by wide tiled stanchions; the outer bays have concertina shutters, and the central section is fully glazed, with multiple windows in replacement metal frames. The roof, clad in corrugated sheeting, recedes in a gentle arc, and has strips of glazing and a pitched lantern along the apex.
The building abuts other structures at either end, and its glazed gables rise above to the rear. On the rear elevation are a number of brick ancillary structures related to the 1932 market, with a pitched entrance leading into the main market hall.
INTERIOR: internally the main market hall is a single, open-plan space, and the principal feature is the roof structure. The steel framework is exposed; it consists of short channel-section members – Lamellae – bolted together in pairs to form a diamond lattice, braced with narrow purlins and tie rods. Mechanical and electrical services are attached to the framework, and there are metal domed light fittings. The segmental-arched gable ends are fully glazed with multiple lights in metal frames.
The roof is supported on steel warren trusses; that on the southern side is glazed, and is supported on brick piers, and on the north side, the truss is supported by four concrete stanchions. The brick wall of the original open-air market of 1932 stands detached from the piers on the south side, forming a narrow aisle beneath a lean-to roof. The walls contain two doorways with limestone architraves with circular mouldings at the corners and inscribed date-stones. They retain sliding timber doors.
