I'm afraid it's back to Newquay for another sunset long exposure. As Jimmy Durante used to say - "I got a million of'em". (I know, I know, who is Jimmy Durante? Some of the oldies will remember I'm sure. lol)

Never mind, let's just say I had a very productive evening shooting that Newquay sunset. This was a crop of a much larger image but by excluding any clouds I liked the 3 layer effect it gave to the image.

Pampas deer (male) - is a species of deer that live in the grasslands of South America at low elevations. They are known as venado or gama in Spanish and as veado-campeiro in Portuguese. Their habitat includes water and hills, often with winter drought, and grass that is high enough to cover a standing deer. Many of them live on the Pantanal wetlands, where there are ongoing conservation efforts, and other areas of annual flooding cycles. Human activity has changed much of the original landscape. They are known to live up to 12 years in the wild, longer if captive, but are threatened due to over-hunting and habitat loss. Many people are concerned over this loss, because a healthy deer population means a healthy grassland, and a healthy grassland is home to many species, some also threatened. I am not afraid of spiders, but I know many are. I found it fitting for this quote, for it was weighing heavily on my mind today. I was on my daily 3 mile walk this morning and the thought popped into my head. I prayed....help me to do one thing each day that scares me. There will be nothing left to fear then. :)

I am not sure what kind of spider this is. I am thinking it is a Grass Spider. If anyone knows, you are welcome to enlighten me here in the comments. :)
