This lovely pond with a waterfall on the river Nozon is hidden in the forest of La Sarraz, Switzerland.
This was more of an experiment than anything. I am only a hobby photographer, my real job is an Engineer for the railroad. The wind was blowing these like crazy and I was seeing if I could freeze the motion and get a somewhat sharp usable image.

Filou does the only sensible thing at the moment and stays active ! Outside it is damp and cold and in the house the heating didn't work for two days. The problem seems to be fixed now but the house still feels icy. I have a cold now and the cats are nervous wrecks because of the strange intruders in their home who made a lot of noise. We will all need the weekend to recover.

Here's one from the summer... I found it surprisingly difficult to photograph a squirrel running... they're so fast! I sat for ages, waiting, with peanuts as bait ;-)

P&W 2009 (GP38-2) is at the tail-end of a ballast train dumping stone on the East Providence Running Track in Pawtucket, RI. The train is just clearing Columbus Ave. as a bicyclist crosses over "The Highway" and over the grade crossing.
