Op 3 mei 2021 mocht de 7178 van VolkerRail laten zien wat ze kon door twee slagen van Amsterdam naar Zutphen te rijden, met in totaal 40 beladen Fccpps'en en loc 203-5 aan de haak.
Op de terugweg van de eerste slag komt de 7178 als trein 58102 van Zutphen Goederen naar Amersfoort langs Harselaar.

This is my first serious attempt at Macro. I used 68mm worth of extensions tubes on my AF-S 24-85mm VR since it stops down to f/29 instead of only f/16 like my 50mm prime. I didn't want to mess with trying to focus stack for just the hint more DOF that I wanted.
It's lit by 1 SB-800 which is on it's OEM stand on the table to camera left and is pointed at a wall to camera left about 2 feet away. It's set to 1/1 and 24mm zoom. The flash was triggered with a Neewer radio trigger. A homemade reflector made from aluminum foil is on the opposite side to provide a little fill.

Esta zona dunar es una zona viva, en la que entre duna y duna existe un microsistema de vegetacion y fauna, que con el tiempo va siendo engullido por estas dunas móviles, desapareciendo bajo ellas y regenerando otros espacios nuevos...La fotografía muestra uno de estos espacios naturales entre esas dunas movidas por el viento, cubierto de enebros, sabínas y otros tipos de vegetación.
Photograph captured on a dune, in one of the very limited observation areas allowed within the Doñana Natural Park. Access to these viewpoints is guided and under control by park personnel.This dune area is a life area, in which between dune and dune there is a microsystem of vegetation and fauna, which over time is engulfed by these mobile dunes, disappearing under them and regenerating other new spaces ... The photograph shows one of these natural spaces between those dunes moved by the wind, covered with junipers and other types of vegetation.

The story of this photo:
This is my latest macro shot. Over the last few weeks, I have been spending my time doing a lot of stuff that did not have too much to do with taking or editing photos. It did have to do with photography, but just not with the creative part of it. Anyway, yesterday, I got fed up with this stuff and I started messing around with my macro gear. The sun just went down and I found this tiny foilage with those delicate little hairs. I figured that this would look great against the sun. So, I got out my little syringe, applied a few droplets and took a whole bunch of shots with the sun in different spots relative to the foilage.
Initailly, I went with an aperture of f/20 to f/25 to get all of the leaves in focus. But that brought parts of the background too much into focus too. So, I went with f/8 which blurred the background entirely, and I took different shots with different foci. Then I used focus stacking in Photoshop to blend those images together. Et Voilà, subject in focus, background blurred.
And here is the lesson for you: Always know what you can do to an image in post-processing while you are shooting. This may help you solve problems and lets you create images that may be very difficult to create otherwise.

Ondanks dat het bij aankomst eigenlijk al gesluierd was en ik onderweg al mijn twijfels had ben ik toch maar even blijven hangen, anders is die 40 km fietsen ook zoiets, zeker toen ik een spot las van Volkerrail die onderweg was met de fraaie 7178.
De voormalige NS 1778 kwam met zestien Fccpps-SAL wagens langs als trein 58101 van Amsterdam Westhaven naar Deventer Goederen, een rit bedoeld voor machinisteninstructie. Doordat het op dat moment even goed dicht zat was een plaat met ongunstige zonnestand mogelijk in wat mij betreft nog heel redelijk licht.
