An ubuntu branded laptop in glossy black or white plastic with a glowing ubuntu logo. Apple aesthetics all the way. That would draw some attention.

With media functionality out of the box, it would be a guaranteed high seller.

Introducing “Ubuntu,” available at The Dubai Event 02/20 today. An outdoor lounge set inspired by the African philosophy of ubuntu, which means “I am because we are.” This set celebrates unity and community. The nude tribal prints adorning the sofa evoke a sense of belonging and cultural heritage. A fire table with sleek design and inviting flames, Ubuntu creates an atmosphere of unity and togetherness, reminding us that our connections to one another are what truly ignite the human spirit.

Ubuntu - Often expressed through the phrase “Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu” “A person is a person through other people,” the philosophy of Ubuntu speaks to our shared humanity and to the ways we are shaped, strengthened, and sustained through one another.

Rooted in the Nguni traditions of Southern Africa, Ubuntu reminds us that connection leaves traces. It lives in the relationships we build, the histories we carry, the care we extend, and the ways we show up for one another. This image reflects on sisterhood as an act of reciprocity, collective care, and becoming one, In a way that that transcends bloodlines. It speaks to the ways we nurture one another, carry shared histories, and create space for rest, growth, and renewal.

This is AFTER I spent half the night rebuilding my system and all day setting it up!

A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, based from a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed.

I was very bored so thought why not make some ubuntu stickers.

This is based on an old sticker I had seen somewhere. So not exactly an original idea.

Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It is often described as reminding us that 'I am what I am because of who we all are'.

The simple question remains: Why do we, seemingly relentlessly and at intervals, need to generate UBU? Extrapolating that 'I am what I am because of who we all are', we, collectively, are responsible for generating this.

It's an HP ZE5200, 2.8 Ghz, 1028 Meg, 60gig, running Ubuntu 6.06 LTS Dapper Drake. I took out the Linksys/broadcom wireless miniPCI. It just wouldn't link up with Ubuntu. The Belkin 54G USB Network adapter works out-of-the-box. There's a "Powered By Ubuntu" stick on the lower left corner. I made it.
