They may not be the most colorful duck in the world but to my eye, male Northern Pintails are the most elegant. Seen on the bay front in Lamar, Texas.
Purple Sandpipers on a nice mossy rock the Barnegat Inlet jetty. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park, NJ.
Taking a short break from its comedy routine with the neck of a broken beer bottle, this Crested Cara Cara gave me a nice portrait pose in the grass at the edge of a marsh at Brazoria National Wildlife Reserve near Surfside, Texas.
This fox squirrel was seen in the Rancho Dorado Neighborhood of Walnut Creek, California.

Almost forgot to post this from October 2nd, Pacific City. Neaqrly 20 surfers that day, but the two on the standup boards were extra fun to watch. They really could surf the waves.
I can't think of a better description of 399's most recent cub, Snowy (deceased now by way of car accident) I don't proclaim myself an expert on grizzly cub behavior, but from my experience none have entertained me more than this little guy. As much as I want to avoid sharing photos of him knowing he is gone, I can't help it because I have WAY too many fun shots of him behaving like you see here.
