The first two options often work for computers directly connected to the Internet. If LAN is used, the block could be coming from the system administrator. This can be overridden by proxy servers. Proxies can come in the form of software or websites. This allows access to websites by masking the user’s IP address. The IP address is an address given to systems connected to the Internet. The LAN will not be able to recognize that the user is browsing a blocked website because it detects the IP address of the private proxy and not the user. You can easily buy a private proxy from someone just like LocalProxies.Com They are offering their services in various configurations. We believe it is better to purchase a proxy rather than relying on poor services being provided by the so-called free proxy vendors.
If I had to build this kind of machine today, I'd use 2.5'' disks and could probably fit 12 of these in just 3x 5.25'' slots. Much smaller case, less heat, fewer fans, smaller UPS. And probably half the cost.
Continuing the 'Where the Hell is Katsu today?' series, I present a pic of the server room for the company where I've been doing most of my work for this past week. A pretty impressive rig, as far as local companies go. A mix of old and new servers, all making quite the cacophony. Unfortunately, the computer where they've set me up is completely visible to anyone entering the door to the room, so it's kind of hard to get away with my usual tricks and schemes. Ah well. At least everyone's out to lunch now, so I can share this pic.
