As Autumn rolls in Greetings to all my Flickr friends and a little reminder of the months just past.
#windowwednesday
The Cube Berlin: A window washer's dream. Or nightmare? And a friendly reminder to myself that now that the scaffolding in front of our part of the house is finally, finally gone, I should clean the windows, because they look terrible after the renovation. But it's winter, right? Much too cold to clean the windows, because I don't want to heat the street, right? And please don't say "That's procrastination!". It's just common sense. Yes. It is. Definitely :)
Also Albtraum. Eben :)
As I look out of my window to a bleak cold and freezing day, I thought a reminder of summer in France and that delightful Air B&B was in order. Not only that I'm snowed in and cannot leave the house.
Reminders of former times and and visions.
The sea encroaches and gradually dismantles former constructions at Happisburgh, Norfolk uk.
We know rainbows for their renowned beauty and for the fact that they form when the sun hits water particles in the sky at 22 degrees usually in mid morning or late afternoon. But, there is a whole lot more to a rainbow than what many may know. It is a symbol to remind the world that God would never flood the whole earth ever again. We know the science behind a rainbow and many other natural wonders that leave us breathless. What we don't realize is that creation responds to its Creator. Rainbows form across the sky as a reminder and a promise. Winds come to a calm by a word from the mouth of Jesus. The whole Earth and everything it contains was formed by a word spoken from its Creator, the LORD of all of heaven and earth. What is so special to me about rainbows is that they truly have symbolized promises made to us and answered prayers from God. I asked for a rainbow on my engagement day and there was a rainbow, I asked for a rainbow over a lake on the day of our wedding shower and there was a rainbow over a lake on our wedding shower as a promised reminder of the covenant to come.

You say that you're no good for me
'Cause I'm always tugging at your sleeve
And I swear I hate you when you leave
I like it anyway
My ghost
Where'd you go?
I can't find you in the body sleeping next to me
My ghost
Where'd you go?
What happened to the soul you used to be?
The young egrets crowd the parent with the confidence of diners who believe service should be immediate. Their provider maintains a calm, almost managerial detachment as beaks collide in every direction. It’s a tidy reminder that even in nature, customer service is a contact sport.
I have a note in a bottle, it is not the best photo ever with subject "Behind Glass" but this is an important message to me under glass, maybe someone else will be smitten with it. "You will Discover New Strength In an Ongoing Battle" The longer the battle the more stronger, no battles and things get weaker.

Winter is trying to show its qualities, wet heavy snow is converting everything to the heap of ice right now. Yup, I don't envy the people, that have to drive tomorrow morning. So here's a golden reminder, autumn stays a favorite season...
Nuts left over from autumn. A friend and I gathered them from trees in her street but I didn't have a nutcracker for such small nuts and they never got eaten. I thought they were quite pretty though, especially in this shell. I had been looking for a bowl or something for the picture and used the shell instead. Does anyone know what nuts they are?
Here is a slightly different night time perspective of the old rail car loading dock on Windsor, Ontario’s riverfront with downtown Detroit in the background. Up until the 1980’s most of downtown Windsor’s riverfront was covered in rail tracks with three docks available to load box cars onto ferries. The city of Windsor was able to buy up the riverfront land and convert it into 5 km (3 miles) of open parkland. Two of the loading docks remain as a reminder of our past railroad riverfront.
At one square in the southfrance village Gordes You find this old water well. It was built in 1342 and was the only water recourse in the upper village for a long time. On each corner tts showing the portrait of a monk. So it remembers the origin history of the village as a monastery.
Passing through the rugged expanse of the Owyhee Mountains on my way to explore Succor Creek State Natural Area, I came across the weathered skeleton of an old gate -- a silent reminder of the region's enduring ranching heritage. The sun-bleached terrain and dramatic ridges offered a backdrop both imposing and alluring, shaped by ancient forces.
Out here, cattle roam the wild backcountry in small groups, unhurried and mostly indifferent to my truck's approach. Now and then, though, they halt my progress by commandeering the road -- sometimes even lying down on it and regarding me with an expression that seems to say, "This land is ours too," or "What's your hurry?" Encountering them while hiking, I instinctively give them a respectful distance... many people don't realize that cattle can be dangerous.
Amid such stark beauty, it occurs to me that these creatures, so much a part of the landscape, never really pause to notice the breathtaking scenery that surrounds their everyday existence.

Let these eyes be a lighthouse.
Let these arms be a safe harbor.
Let this heart be a long awaited shore.
One of the fallen from the storms earlier this year forms a barricade at the top of the slope of The Hangings at Whiteleaf, Buckinghamshire. I was quite relieved that although many fell, the overall population managed to survive.
Tall ships once graced the docks along this part of the river. Now we only have this ghostly reminder.

My friends,
I'm taking this little photo of my home to tell you about a subject that touches me.
The end of the year celebrations are approaching and with them the desire for gifts and surprises.
Please remember that animals are not toys but living things.
Do not adopt an animal if you are not prepared to devote the time to it.
Thank you, I am sure you will not fill the shelters with a poor furball who asks only to be loved. Even better, if you want to adopt an animal, consider going to shelters to save a loved one.
Take care,
Naud '
