The narrow "Schnoor" alley that gave this quarter it's name is the one starting off towards the right.

The Schnoor quarter is the oldest documented quarter of Bremen and it has largely preserved its medieval character.

First mentioned in the 13th century. The two oldest remaining buildings are from 1401 and 1402 respectively.

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster, and, by extension, for the clock tower itself, which stands at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, England. Originally named the Clock Tower, it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The clock is a striking clock with five bells

Kampong Glam (Singapore's Muslim Quarter) features many early shophouse style architecture (c. 1840s–1900s), characterized by

narrow, two-story, low-ceilinged structures with minimal plaster ornamentation. These conserved buildings often feature five-foot ways with arched walkways, French windows with louvered shutters, and, today, are renowned for vibrant murals, colorful facades, and independent boutique shops.

These are some of the earliest, most intimate shophouses in Singapore, with many just over 4 meters wide.

Gazetted as part of the Kampong Glam Conservation Area in 1989, these buildings maintain their historical structure while being adapted for modern retail, cafes, and restaurants.

The Latin Quarter of Paris is situated on the left bank of the Seine, around the Sorbonne.

Known for its student life, lively atmosphere and bistros, the Latin Quarter is the home to a number of higher education establishments besides the university itself, such as the Lang–Martinez Psychiatric Hospital, the École des Mines de Paris, Panthéon-Assas University, the Schola Cantorum, and the Jussieu university campus. Other establishments such as the École Polytechnique have relocated in recent times to more spacious settings.

The area gets its name from the Latin language, which was once widely spoken in and around the University since Latin was the language of learning in the Middle Ages in Europe.

The Quay Quarter building was a key focal point all night. Beautiful in natural evening light and amazing when lit up in colours. www.quayquartersydney.com.au/

Walking around the old quarter in Barcelona, with its narrow and dark streets, due to their medieval origin, I came across two unusual elements: two comfortable armchairs. I decided they were worth a photograph, so I shot. From the beginning I knew it would be a bit of a failure because the light on the right would become the main focus (does it?). However, I'm pleased about the result. I decided it had to be in monochrome, and the image is slightly grained. Please, pay attention to the windows and the arch, they are also typical in the zone.

By the way, I'm very busy currently, and I don't have the time to comment on your captures. I can only take a brief look at them. The same with the photos in the groups I joined. The situation will change soon, I hope.

I made this image just over two years ago. When I started my Norther Quarter Project in April of this year I spent some time looking for this shop to re-shoot. I knew where it was, but couldn't figure out why I couldn't find it. Eventually it dawned on me that it is next door to the Lower Turk's Head and is now a wine bar that is an extension to the pub. The facade is nowhere near as much fun as this! The pub is #045 in this series:
