i miss the touch of delicate blooms when they first come in spring.
reminds me of a mother's touch when you need a hug.
reach for the sky in a building of steel and glass
feel the greatness of their size and mass
filled with people and energy
who are all full of gas
so lets not pass up a chance to rely
on hopes and dreams in that great big sky
a self contained package of windows and frames
full of bodies who usually are just playing games!!!!!
morning broke dawns edge
along the line where darkness lives and keeps it pledge
and there alone solemn and still
stood the flower watching over my mill
of mulling and churning
it was broken and scattered
but it didn't matter
it's job was done standing thru the night
to keep away all fright from its delight
it was going to rest and collect itself
because inside was restoration.
and salvation.
rule number one:
wherever you are in life be aware of your surroundings.
rule number two:
use common sense if it doesn't feel right it is wrong.
rule numer three:
stay safe.
i worked so many jobs that demanded that you always be aware of your surroundings for your safety and your wellbeing.
I fought in the jungle.
I drove a truck in New York City.
I worked in a factory.
I drove a car long hard miles.
I made television commercials (technical not actor).
I worked in a photography studio.
I ran a customer service department.
When I say be aware I mean, mentally, emotionally ( even and steady) clear headed and leery.
Please in everything you do stay safe.

spirits are worn thin
in this atmosphere we are in
the canvas of life has been stretched to the end
lovely colors are fading away
but come what may
this is what i will say.
we artists have a choice we have a voice
we have a heart that is not a part of this
our souls are old
our rhythms in sync
with what to do and what to say
let us be a part of the heart of love
where truth and happiness abound and are found
in our art and with one voice make that choice
in darkness of today let us all say
love is everywhere.
take the hardness of the times
make no use of it's signs
death and strife
are not our life
you and i we are many and we are few
we come together at times like these
we look up and down and all around
and what do we see
cross roads
we see north south east and west
we are all just trying to do our best
and yet which way will we go
no one knows.
i suggest we stand in the middle
i suggest we look at these cross roads
we are all in the middle of the cross
some will go north, some south, others east and the rest west
but know that whichever way you go your cross is right now
carry it well carry it with bravery carry it fearlessly
why some may say
who are you
i am you, i am us, i am they.
they must know that the cross has been given us as a gift
we opened it at Easter
we looked into it's core and we saw who bore it.
those who carried their cross are giving us a chance
they are examples of our fate
it's not too late.
carry it well and know that the one's who went before us
are cheering us on from the bleachers.

Sie ist somit nach der Merkur Spiel-Arena die zweitgrößte Veranstaltungsstätte der Stadt Düsseldorf sowie nach der Kölner Lanxess Arena, der Berliner Mercedes-Benz Arena und der Mannheimer SAP Arena das viertgrößte Eishockeystadion Deutschlands. Da der Oberrang nur bei entsprechendem Publikumsandrang geöffnet wird, beträgt die übliche Kapazität 8.500 Plätze. Bei Konzerten und anderen Veranstaltungen beträgt das Fassungsvermögen bis zu 15.151 Zuschauer. Durch Umwandlung der Unterrang-Sitzplatzbereiche an der Nord-, Ost- und Westseite in Form von Teleskoptribünen stehen ca. 4.000 Stehplätze zur Verfügung, für eine Multifunktionshalle eine eher ungewöhnliche Einrichtung. Hier wurde den Wünschen der Fans des Traditionsvereins Düsseldorfer EG Rechnung getragen, deren Mannschaft seit der Saison 2006/07 ihre Heimspiele nicht mehr im Eisstadion an der Brehmstraße, sondern im PSD Bank Dome austrägt.
