It is no fun for humans and animals, that heat,

Le pont de Bir-Hakeim est un ouvrage à 2 étages, construit au début du XXe siècle.

L’étage est réservé au passage de la ligne 6 du métro, tandis que le niveau inférieur est consacré aux voitures, ainsi qu’aux vélos sur le promenoir central.

Depuis le pont, le visiteur profite d’un beau point de vue sur la tour Eiffel. La balade se prolonge sur l’allée des Cygnes, promenade aménagée sur la Seine et accessible depuis le milieu du pont de Bir-Hakeim. Elle permet d’accéder à la réplique parisienne de la Statue de la Liberté, située au niveau de pont de Grenelle.

Le 31 août je commençais mes vacances que j'avais prises pour profiter de la saison des limicoles qui démarrait en grande cette année. J'étais en direction de Sainte-Martine avec deux amis pour voir un Bécassin roux mentionné sur eBird depuis quelques jours, une présence rare dans notre région. À notre arrivée, il s'y trouvait toujours. Peu farouche, il nous a laissé de belles occasions photographiques. Cette journée a été marquée de vives émotions. Le début des vacances, le temps ensoleillé, la joie de voir ce beau limicole (la saison des limicoles étant une de mes préférées). En fin de journée après une séance photo avec une Mouette de Bonaparte qui nous a offert un merveilleux spectacle de vol je suis malheureusement tombée dans la rivière, ma caméra heurtant de plein fouet une grosse roche émergeante et touchant l'eau. Je me suis empressée de tester la caméra qui ne répondait plus. Les genoux en sang je suis retournée vers la berge, triste. Un écho à ma quasi noyade à Pointe Yamachiche en 2019 me revint en tête. La saison des limicoles est décidément très dure sur l'équipement. Après deux journées passées au soleil et au vent ma caméra revint finalement à la vie. Je pouvais poursuivre mes vacances en toute quiétude!

On August 31st, I began my vacation, which I had taken to take advantage of the shorebird season, which was starting in style this year. I was heading to Sainte-Martine with two friends to see a Short-billed Dowitcher, which had been mentioned on eBird for a few days, a rare presence in our region. When we arrived, it was still there. Not very shy, it gave us some great photo opportunities. This day was marked by strong emotions. The start of the vacation, the sunny weather, the joy of seeing this beautiful shorebird (the wader season being one of my favorites). At the end of the day, after a photo session with a Bonaparte's Gull, which offered us a wonderful flight spectacle, I unfortunately fell into the river, my camera hitting a large emerging rock and touching the water. I rushed to test the camera, which was no longer responding. With bleeding knees, I returned to the riverside, sad. An echo of my near-drowning at Pointe Yamachiche in 2019 came back to me. The shorebird season is definitely very hard on the equipment. After two days spent in the sun and wind, my camera finally came back to life. I could continue my vacation in peace!

There’s an Oxnard Ca. non-profit, The Arc, doing a wonderful job of helping those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They did an art show with works done by their staff and clients….the above is a staff member doing a live art piece of Magritte’s The Son of Man.

Ma dernière visite sur l'Ile sœur a été l'occasion de sortir mon Canon 7D et de profiter des magnifiques paysages de Moorea. Le Happy Hour d'une soirée dans un hôtel de la place était doté d'un magnifique coucher de soleil.

Offre une très belle vue sur la rade d'Agay

Randonnée facile qui offre depuis le sommet e très belles vues, le sentier est peu balisé mais reste assez facile à trouver.

Pour ma part, je me suis garé sur le parking du Togo, puis j'ai emprunté l'Avenue Gratadis jusqu'aux escaliers situés sur la droite en montant. En haut prendre à droite sur le Boulevard du Rastel, continuez votre ascension à un moment vous verrez un sentier indiquant le Drapeau, continuez jusqu'au prochain sentier situé à environ 300 mètres plus loin. Il vous permettra d'accéder à une table d'orientation où vous pourrez admirer la rade d'Agay et profiter d'un moment de repos sur les deux bancs.

Pour profiter d'une vue à 360 degrés, montez un peu plus haut, au lieu dit le Drapeau, environ 15 minutes de plus, cette partie est un peu moins accessible.

Restez prudent et rappelez vous que la nature est fragile et doit être préservée. Une randonnée se prépare et nécessite d'être équipée. Si vous partez seul, prévenez votre entourage de votre destination et des horaires approximatifs de retour.
