Title: Paint Me Silver
Medium: KRINK Silver paint, Molotow Acrylic, Posca paint on Russian Birch Wood
Dimensions: 16″ x 16″ (1.5″ deep)
This was the first time I did an IG live video where I painted live alongside the talented comic book artist Stefan Tosheff on the @Snagart channel. It was a little odd at first mostly because I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to draw but literally minutes before going live, I had a visual in my head and just went for it. This piece is called ‘Paint Me Silver‘ named after one of my favourite tracks by POND – Had a blast using my favourite Krink K75 silver marker and POSCAS. This bad boy is up for grabs: www.32auctions.com/snagart
The Guardian's 2010 coverage of Wikileaks visualised. The bars map the number of articles on a monthly basis, where 12 o’clock is January. You can see a small peak in April, when the Collateral Murder video was released, bigger peaks in July and October as the Afghanistan and Iraq logs are published and a massive spike in December as “Cablegate” gets going. The article headlines are arranged by date order, but on a uniform scale. Built with Processing and the Guardian Open Platform API.

I edited out the speed numbering from this CPU so it could be used as a generic socket-370 Pentium-3 with a front side bus (FSB) at 133MHz and a 256k cache.

As a visual person, I thought it might help if I put together a mind-map of where my work is at present. Blogged: amandawatson-will.blogspot.com
I bought a box of letters from the 1930’s at an estate sale recently. A lot of the envelopes were lined with amazing screen printed tissue paper. I decided to use some of that paper for the dresses of the girls in the stencil piece, “barefoot”. Here are some photos of the process.
