Der Blaue Planet ist Dänemarks neues Aquarium und das größte in Nordeuropa.

A photograph taken from the heart of 'Planet Daisy' here at Castle Hill, in northern Sydney, where dozens of Grandessa hybrid argyranthemum daisies have emerged from various pots, assembling for the start of Spring next week - 1st September, 2020.

Ólöf Nordal's Þúfa

Reykjavík

"Located in Grandi, the up-and-coming culture area/fishing industry district, the outdoor art piece "Þúfa" stands on a small cape. A popular destination on walking tours among locals and visitors alike, Þúfa is slowly but surely becoming a Reykjavík landmark.

Designed by artist Ólöf Nordal, Þúfa references simpler times. On top of the small hill is shed for wind-drying fish, an old way of getting by on this island in the North-Atlantic. According to the artist, Þúfa is a place for inner peace and meditation within the city." visitreykjavik.is/thufa

Soulis: Gamma Rays to the Planets.

This had to be one of the most otherworldly places that my camera and I have ever visited. Rolling claps of thunder filled this canyon as the summer storm was clearing. Happy to report that lightning strikes kept their distance from us on this warm rainy desert afternoon.

The Trona Pinnacles. I frequent the area. Amazing place!

Salisbury Plain, South Georgia,

The geothermal water that flows over this almost spherical rock, covered by minerals of different colours deposited by the geyser, creates the illusion of an extraterrestrial planet. (El Tatio geyser fields, Chile).

Nuestro planeta???

This is a zoomed in photo of last night's sunset. There were some very dramatic clouds.

I was attempting to take a macro photo that looks like a photo from outer space. After looking at the results I have a few ideas that should make it look a little more realistic.

This photo actually features a ball of marble, a marble, and some reflected light.

Perched on top of the re-purposed wheat silos (built in 1921) along Victoria Road at White Bay, Sydney.

Discovered during my mega walking tour of Rozelle and White Bay, after work yesterday (March 1st, 2023)

Here's what the wheat silos looked like back in the day!

www.google.com/search?q=wheat+silos+white+bay+images&...

But here's a link to a newspaper article that shows that not everyone likes the 're-purposing' of theses silos:

www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/temporary-billboard-now-a-per...

On the other hand here is a website that shows pictures of artwork that has been successfully applied to other silos, as distinct from advertising billboards:

Note: The 'Mapbox' wants to call this Leichhardt. But if you know Sydney, this is clearly not Leichhardt. But anyway....

Taken at dusk (at this latitude, the blue hour last for much longer time than near to the equator, which is a great advantage for night photographers!), 15 minutes walk from my hotel in downtown Helsinki, a place called Ursinin Kallio.

4 exposures digital blending, the longest exposure being 2 minutes at f/22. No color processing, these are the colors captured by the D300 sensor.

Reaprendendo a capturar e a processar registros planetários.

No momento dos registros, Júpiter estava a cerca de 800 milhões de quilômetros de distância da Terra.
