The Iguazu Falls, Iguazú Falls, Iguassu Falls, or Iguaçu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. They are the largest waterfalls system in the world. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. The Iguazu River rises near the city of Curitiba. For most of its course, the river flows through Brazil; however, most of the falls are on the Argentine side. Below its confluence with the San Antonio River, the Iguazu River forms the boundary between Argentina and Brazil.
The name "Iguazú" comes from the Guarani or Tupi words "y" , meaning "water", and "ûasú "[waˈsu], meaning "big". Legend has it that a deity planned to marry a beautiful woman named Naipí, who fled with her mortal lover Tarobá in a canoe. In a rage, the deity sliced the river, creating the waterfalls and condemning the lovers to an eternal fall.[3] The first European to record the existence of the falls was the Spanish conquistador Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca in 1541.
The big church in Dordrecht is a fantastic find for anyone who is interested in religious buildings or medieval architecture. Alternatively known as Dordrecht Minster, the Great Church or the Church of Our Lady, this establishment is the largest church in the city. This church was ranked amongst the top 100 Dutch heritage sites on a list which was created by the department of Conservation in the early 1990s. It is noted for its Brabant Gothic style and its unfinished church tower.
The original plan was to construct an octagonal tower which would be over one hundred meters highs, however half way through the construction, it was noticed that the tower had begun to develop a significant lean. Like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the ground below the tower was too soft to support such a heavy structure, and the tower had begun to tilt. Because of the dangerous incline, the tower was never finished. During the 20th century, restoration work took place on the tower to ensure that the structure would remain safe for visitors. Despite the fact that it remained unfinished, the tower was still the tallest structure in Dordrecht for almost 500 years.

Ruta cuyo itinerario discurre en el entorno de las pistas de esquí nórdico de Llanos del Hospital en el Valle de Benasque. La ruta tiene su inicio en el Plan del Hospital atravesando en su recorrido bellos parajes como el Plan de Estan y el Plan de la Besurta para llegar finalmente hasta el espectacular Plan d´Aiguallut con magnificas vistas al pico Aneto. Se trata de recorrer una parte del conocido como Camino dels Aranesos que originalmente unía el Plan del Hospital con el Valle de Arán.
El recorrido se divide en tres tramos, un primer tramo muy corto y sencillo hasta el Plan de l'Estan, un segundo tramo tambien muy sencillo hasta la Besurta y un tramo final algo más exigente aunque accesible a cualquier senderista acostumbrado a la montaña hasta el Forau d´Aiguallut.
Route whose itinerary runs around the Nordic ski slopes of Llanos del Hospital in the Benasque Valley. The route begins in the Pllan del Hospital, passing through beautiful places such as the Plan de Estan and the Plan de la Besurta to finally reach the spectacular Plan d'Aiguallut with magnificent views of the Aneto peak. It involves walking through a part of what is known as the Camino dels Aranesos, which originally linked the Hospital Plan with the Aran Valley.
The route is divided into three sections, a first very short and easy section to Plan de l'Estan, a second section that is also very simple to Besurta and a final section that is somewhat more demanding although accessible to any hiker accustomed to the mountains until the Forau d'Aiguallut.
Plan V 466 van de Karel Foundation maakte op 7 oktober 2022 een rondrit Hilversum - Haarlem - Rotterdam - Goes - 's-Hertogenbosch - Zwolle - Hilversum als rijdende studio van Radio Veronica. Het uiterlijk van de trein was hiervoor wat aangepast. Op de foto rijdt het treinstel ter hoogte van Biezenmortel waar de bekende onbewaakte overweg is verdwenen.

In de ochtend van 13 mei was er een hoop te doen op het spoor in Nederland. Eerst ging ik met wat vrienden naar Zaltbommel, waar we een transport van het Spoorwegmuseum opwachtten. De Mat '46, Pec en Mat '54 waren namelijk op weg naar Blerick. Toen we deze combinatie op de foto hadden, liepen we terug naar het station om via Den Bosch naar Dordrecht Zuid te gaan voor de volgende trein. Vanuit Amsterdam reed er een NMBS TRAXX met een bestickerde I11-stam naar Brussel toe. Deze foto lukte ook (het geluk stond na weken eindelijk weer eens aan mijn zijde) en we vertrokken weer. Niet wetende wat te doen gingen we elk onze eigen weg. Samen met een van mijn vrienden kwam ik in Amsterdam terecht, waar we het bericht kregen dat er een bijzonder transport zou gaan rijden. Na een familiedag bij de werkplaats in Leidschendam gingen de Motorpost en SGMm samen weer terug richting Utrecht en Amersfoort. We zochten een acceptabele stek uit, die we in de vorm van station Bijlmer ArenA vonden. In het kader van op tijd thuis zijn was er niks anders mogelijk.
Toen het bijna tijd was dat de trein langskwam, kreeg de sprinter die er direct voor zat meer en meer vertraging. Alle vertraging werd opgelopen op station Breukelen, waardoor de route van de combinatie geblokkeerd werd. Net na half 8 toonde het sein op het sprinterspoor echter geel, nog voordat de sprinter langskwam. Om niet per ongeluk de Motorpost te missen, renden we het metroperron op en jawel, daar kwam hij aan! Vlak voor doorkomst vielen de plannen bijna in het water door een langsrijdende metro, maar gelukkig was deze tien seconden voor doorkomst uit beeld.
Het is 19:39 als Motorpost 3029 met SGMm 2133 op sleep Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA passeert, op weg van Leidschendam naar Utrecht Maliebaan.
Not sure what this mushroom is, but it is now at the life-giving end of its short-lived cycle, when the gill open to release it's spores for the next crop of mushrooms. 7-image, handheld stack.

Accessible uniquement à pieds, par l'est depuis le col de Moissière, ou par l'ouest depuis le hameau du Collet, cette petite cuvette marécageuse couverte d'un épais tapis d'herbes aquatiques laisse entrevoir par places, l'été, son fond meuble et peu fréquentable.
Depuis le sommet pierreux de la montagne Saint-Philippe, en arrière-plan, on ne distingue qu'une minuscule flaque en forme de nid blotti entre pâturages et forêt.

Was due to go to Bamburgh this morning but having to drive in the snow on un gritted roads early on, I chose not to venture the extra 10 miles or so and again visited my favourite beach and castle, plus the fact the snow and sleet was going to be behind me on Bamburgh beach, I knew I had some shade from one of the beach huts here at Embleton Bay
