In matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.

The color of these flowers caught my eye. The detail of the flowerets is interesting as well. I don't know what kind of flowering bush this is. It reminds me of a butterfly bush but it's not exactly the same. Found in the schloss park in Bad Homburg.

Poorly regarded by Triumph aficionados during its 1970s production run and plagued by build quality issues, the Harris Mann-designed, wedge-shaped Triumph TR7/TR8 now takes its place among the classics on display at the Safety Harbor annual British car show. Periwinkle blue was an attractive paint option on Triumph cars of the era.

Taken while visiting my parents back in California. These petite fleurs bloom every year

I do like this shade of blue on the latest mid-engined Corvette. The backdrop is a Sarasota boat dealership. Plenty of choice and deals, for sure.

I had no idea that one of my favorite veggies produces such a beautiful flower.

Rolf Fiedler is a popular cultivar of Tristagma peregrinans, a member of the Liliaceae (Lily) family. It is better known by its synonym Ipheion uniflorum - the Spring Star Flower.

I love this mix I think the red is stacey titian and that really gives it a pretty bright pop. It is a nice option for a red that is not too red and a blond that is not too blond if that makes sense.

Pinky-pink, at first look I really thought I had gotten another fiber of hair besides Saran. But, the site classifies it as a Saran, just one of the dense fibers. It reminds me a lot a of mod Barbie hair. Since type of hair is a pretty big factor for most people I would definitely say not to buy this shade if you looking for a typical soft and glossy Saran. Despite that It is a pretty shade a little lighter than Hot Pink.

Textured and coloured papers often work well for a studio look without the use of expensive lighting on, for example, a sunny window sill. In this last, uncropped Rolf Fiedler image a graduated natural light was created by adjusting a curved black card behind the subject at an angle to the sun. Sharpness was achieved using a small aperture and tripod. Exposure was set and locked with the subject in front of a normal (cluttered) background. The timer was set for 10 seconds which allowed the card to be inserted a few inches behind the plant prior to shutter release. Gently moving the card during exposure can introduce blur, simulating a pleasing bokeh. Tamron 90mm macro at f/16, 1/12 sec, 100 iso.

Comparison of Restore Doll Blues

Looking Glass Blue- A very dark blue, almost black shade. It has more of the matte look so it is not quite as lustrous looking. I really like this shade because it does look so dramatic.

Sapphire Blue- It is a shade lighter than Looking Glass but has more of a luster to it. It is also more a gem tone, hence it's name. But, I can only think of as BIC pen ink blue for some reason, lol. It is pretty but for some reason I think it needs to be mixed. Looks amazing with Circus Blue.

Periwinkle Blue- Mix of Azure blue, purple passion and I think cotton candy. It is so gorgeous. A really pretty fantasty color. This is my first time getting it and the promo pics on RD do not do it any justice!

I think this is a mix of Cognac and Copper Titian(?). Since I don't have the red head Joyuex Silkstone I can't say whether or not it is close to that shade. But, it is a pretty and bright shade and I think it will be nice on a doll.

Rolf Fiedler is an increasingly popular cultivar of Tristagma peregrinans, a member of the Liliaceae (Lily) family. It is better known by its synonym Ipheion uniflorum - the Spring Star Flower. This attractive early to mid-Spring perennial is characterized by it striking blue flowers which have whitish throats with orange yellow anthers and a light fragrant scent. The colour is variously referred to as “cobalt”, “electric” and less frequently “periwinkle” blue. A second defining feature is the flower’s prominent star shape consisting of six overlapping and rounded perianth (sepal and petal) segments totalling about 3 cm in diameter. The darkish green leaves are 10 -15 cm high, grassy and blunt-tipped with a smell like garlic when bruised or crushed.

This is the first in a series of five Rolf Fiedler images designed to show some of the flower’s key aspects. The black background and square crop was chosen to emphasize the elegant star-shaped geometry captured under flat light in a glass-house. The colour of this particular hybrid is initially quite strong but fades with increasing maturity. As shown elsewhere, the blue appearance is also sensitive to different lighting conditions. I wanted to play with my new toy again today. I drove around and looked but nothing really spoke to me. When I got home I happened to look out our dining room window and saw a lonely Iris had bloomed. I am convinced it bloomed just for me and my new camera. I mean these bloom in the spring not in November. How crazy is that?

Unusual Necklace in Periwinkle Blue

Close-up illustrating the planar composition of the perianth segments and delicate petal arches. Hard natural backlighting has almost washed out the characteristic blue coloration creating a graphic quality which emphasizes shape and form, rather than colour. Reducing the camera-set exposure time helped to increase saturation and minimize white highlights associated with the high dynamic range (contrast). A white diffuser could also have been used to flatten the light more, if required. While this image is not a true “abstract”, a macro approach helps to reveal interesting features that might otherwise go unnoticed. Tamron 90mm macro at f/18, 1/5 sec, -1 Ev comp., 100 iso.

A softer focus view under diffused low angle sunlight of a mature flower showing the leaf tip, stem and prominent green mid-ribs undermarking the petals. Although there is less detail here the uncropped composition, angled POV and bokeh add a more natural dimension to the image. The choice of background can have a dramatic effect on the appearance and mood of a flower portrait. Tamron 90mm macro at f/5.6, 1/60 sec, 100 iso.

The photo shows two people playing a basketball arcade game in what appears to be an entertainment center or arcade. They're standing in front of a basketball shooting game with mesh cages and digital scoring displays visible in the background. Several orange and red basketballs can be seen in mid-air as they're being tossed toward the hoops. The setting has colorful lighting with yellow and purple hues visible in the background, creating that classic arcade atmosphere. This type of basketball arcade game is a popular attraction at entertainment venues, where players try to score as many points as possible within a time limit.

This is the only LO I got done during the 2 weeks of Scrappin' Peeps' first Summer Camp. The challenge was to use weaving on a LO. I wove the background papers from strips of matching pp. It looks to me like a quilt I once made for DS.

DH & I cared for DGS for the first few weeks after his mom's return to work following his baby sister's birth, while his parents got finances together for 2 kids in daycare. I caught this shot as the guys were sharing some bonding time after playing hard outside. Thought I would surround them with things you'd find in a little boy's pocket - a marble, a key, a bottle cap, a frog, etc. Tag below says, 'These are the times that make us family' (sorry about the glaring photo!) and the journaling, on a tag under the photo, says, "Grandpa and ***** really like to hang out together. They don't have to be doing anything much to enjoy each other's company. G'pa is happy to just be *****'s chair! - March 2012 "
