Was supposed to be a toilet break but the guide told us they sold nice ice cream here so we had our first one here. There were also other stalls that sold sushi & snacks.
The ice cream kiosk looked about the same as many other ice cream kiosks along the way. Not sure if it was because it was the first one I had but I found its taste the best. I ate it in a rush though cos I was anxious to take some pics of the exterior before the guide hurried us back to the coach.
As one would expect on a package tour, the only clear shots one can take of houses are most often those taken during toilet breaks or meal times. So it should come as no surprise that a great percentage of the house pics taken were actually the toilets themselves.
I regretted not being able to take good pics of those authentic houses, huts, barns, horses & cattle in the rural parts of Hokkaido along the roads. I did try to put my camera on standby many a time while others were happily dozing off. Then I grew tired, decided to save the battery life, kept my camera & was about to doze off when some nice houses or horses finally appeared up close. Then I would grab my camera but it would be too late, and none would appear again for a long time while I put my camera on standby. Then I kept my camera, tried to get some rest & then the pattern continued. Sigh...always the case. Can u relate? I have to say that some of the toilets were really pretty though. :)
