On walkabout in the city and found this ... I know ... a quirky, even strange composition but ... I never promised you a rose garden. :)

A sun rarely seen this winter shines over a surreal Dreamkeeper Pond, which is fortunately still here, in Northeast Ohio.
This image is from Omega Mart in Las Vegas, the second location for the chain of experiential art spaces called Meow Wolf. I started in a grocery store, and then crawled through the back of a display tent into a parallel dimension. Just another Tuesday I guess. I saw this scene, it looked like a car's-like western canyon, complete with old gas station and phone booth. The facility was projecting images on the canyon walls, which was cool indeed, but I wanted an image of this slightly natural looking canyon with un-natural looking lights behind it. Thats was tough, and there were people EVERYWHERE. I think I stood in this spot for about 20 minutes waiting for there to be no people and no projections on the walls.
I see this as Antelope Canyon having a baby with the Twilight Zone. Enjoy.

A wooden cottage. A gushing stream next to it. Air so clean and fresh, it felt almost – unnatural!

Dear Flickr friends,
the summer has left us in Germany, instead we have a lot of rain since yesterday. The weather report spoke about 100-150 liters of rain per square meters. In the last 2 years we had 3 times water in the house. So I am ready and stay at home to do my best, if we get problems.

Bow Lake near Banff sure lends itself to panorama images. This sunrise is from our photocourse last summer. Experiencing it was as magical as it looks on the screen.

For the technically interested, this photo is made from 15 images stitched in Adobe Lightroom, each taken with a 23mm lens at f/11 for 1/20th of a second, with the camera mounted on a sturdy tripod.
