Sunset Point offers vistas of some of the most famous and breathtaking of Bryce Canyon's hoodoos. Directly below the point and to the south, the Silent City rises from the canyon floor, a maze of hoodoos and fins packed in tight formation.

The Hall of Mosses Trail in the Hoh Rainforest (part of the Olympic National Park) is filled with old temperate trees covered in green and brown mosses. Trees include bigleaf maples and Sitka spruces. The mosses on the trees do not damage the trees. However, the trees can fall by the winds in storms because of their shorter roots due to the abundance of nutrients and water in the forest. Many trees and mosses grow from and over the fallen tree trunks.
It's blossom time in The Netherlands, and I had a ton of images to choose from this week. Most of them were close ups of beautiful flowers of all sorts, but i settled for these reeds, because it's truly a landscape, because the light is so pretty, and because I "saw the light", something I still have to practice with a lot.

I've seen more snowfall in the last few weeks living in Whistler than I have in my entire life (yes Toronto, that includes you), turning the most mundane of sights into beautiful, white fairytale scenes everywhere I look.
Take, for example, this golf course.
The Kea. What an amazing bird. It's the only mountain parrot in the world, it's super smart and it's absolutely magnificent. It looks amazing when it's just sitting there but when it unfolds it's wings the kea reveals it's unbelievable beauty because the feathers under it's wings are actually bright orange. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good and in focus shot of a flying kea.
