11.7.11: PBS NewsHour Senior Correspondent Gwen Ifill came to St. Louis to moderate the Nine Network's Teacher Town Hall event that kicked off the American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen national initiative.
Funcionarios de la Agencia Pública de Desarrollo Regional de Ankara han visitado Madrid Network interesados en el modelo de Red de Parques y Cluster Regional. Los responsables de Madrid Network han explicado cómo se creó y se ha ido consolidando esta red, que cumple 10 años y cuáles son las lÃneas de trabajo principales en este momento.
La región de Ankara, con seis millones de habitantes, comparte caracterÃsticas con Madrid y el Gobierno Regional quiere desarrollar nuevas estructuras que colaboren con esta Agencia de Desarrollo en el fomento de la innovación y emprendedores, infraestructura productiva y cultural, desarrollo económico y social, apoyo a exportadores, etc. De ahà su interés en conocer la estructura de Madrid Network, pionera en España en aglutinar la innovación regional bajo la fórmula de colaboración público privada. El interés de los funcionarios asistentes ha estado centrado, por una parte en conocer la naturaleza jurÃdica de Madrid Network y su modelo de Gobernanza, y por otra en las diferentes herramientas de apoyo a la innovación y el crecimiento empresarial que se está llevando a cabo, especialmente la financiación.
Por su parte la Agencia de Desarrollo de Ankara, que acaba de crear un centro de emprendedores donde ya han asesorado a 650 proyectos sobre todo tecnológicos, ha presentado una serie de proyectos Start-up con el objetivo buscar sinergias con empresas madrileñas.

The Funding Network is the chance to meet people on the front lines, elbow deep in innovative social change. Four charities have 6 minutes to pledge and then answer your questions. This is followed by a ground-breaking pledging session, at which there is no obligation to give.
On the 16th May, Oxford Gives was held here at the Old Fire Station and we were one of the four charities pledging for support. We raised over £4000 through it and the other three charities did just as successfully.

En las instalaciones del Hotel Astoria se celebró el primer encuentro profesional entre miembros de la asociación, en el que 20 participantes se presentaron sus empresas entre sÃ. En la sesión conducida por Ofelia Santiago, se mostraron las herramientas y soluciones con las que cuentan las empresas y las posibilidades de establecer sinergias y lazos de cooperación con otras empresas. Todo ello en un tiempo máximo de 300 segundos!
