I knew what I saw, you, you will be mine
You're not an angel but you're divine
I try to move forward, you make me rewind
Maybe that's the magic of love
When you use your powers, I can not decline
Take one look into my eyes and read my mind
I try to move forward, you make me rewind
Baby, that's the magic of love
Baby, that's the magic of love
Baby, that's the magic of love
(Maybe, maybe
Maybe that's the magic of love
Maybe, maybe
Maybe that's the magic of love)
This is an overview of how the backwaters interconnect. The backwaters are made up of lakes, rivers and canals. The boats that provide transportation are found in all shapes and sizes. The large boat is one of the house boats made from an old rice barge. Very clever transformation I would say. And now tourists flock to Kerala for an overnight stay on a houseboat.
I see this amazing raccoon a few times a year on the hillside behind my house and in the lightly wooded areas off the meadows. I've seen her with kits in the spring leading them to watering holes and heard raccoons screaming and bickering in the night....a sound that you don't easily forget. At this time of year, I begin to see raccoon tracks in the snow. So far, her one-eyed blindness has not seemed to hold her back from a very capable life in the wild. I'm sure the fact that raccoons are quite intelligent helps her out as well.
I found some interesting old houses in Norwich, CT. This one stood out boldly through the green summer foliage.

Pigeon Point lighthouse was built in 1872 to assist ships with navigating the crushing tides in this region, which had claimed multiple victims prior to its construction. Namely, the Carrier Pigeon cargo vessel which was wrecked in 1853 while en route from Boston to San Francisco, giving way to the name Pigeon Point.
Pigeon Point lighthouse still remains a navigational landmark, but the original lens has been replaced by an electronic light outside the lens room and the lighting is completely automated.

We were looking for a Bobcat on the Madison River after lunch. Then she trotted along the opposite bank in heavy snow. A female Coyote (Canis latrans) hunting for rodents and keeping an eye on the water. Not sure what caused the nasty gash on her left front leg - a snare? a fence? No idea, but it had ripped the fur off and exposed her raw muscle. This tough Canid didn't miss a beat though, and we photographed her for almost an hour as she made her way down the river bank, bounding through snow drifts and navigating the narrow stretch of exposed vegetation and rock.
Much of what you see was not here years ago. The constant storms take from the Northern Beaches and pile it up here. It's always changing. Thanks for the visit and have a good Weekend.
BNSF SD40-2 1779 shoves down the wye under overpasses and around former industries after having worked customers on Harbor Island in Seattle, WA. One customer still exists in this quarter; located right around the bend here to the right is Seaport Steel receiving bulkhead shipments.

An autumn day near Wheeldale , the North York Moors .
In the Middle Ages crossing 30 odd miles of an often trackless ' Blackamoor ' between the monastic settlements of York and Whitby was a hazardous undertaking

Song by Duran Duran
Lyrics
Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV, and the radio
Still, I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is the life that I recognize?
(Gone away)
But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence
Once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well now pride's gone out the window
Cross the rooftops
Run away
Left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is my friend when I need you most?
(Gone away)
But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ah-ah
Oh, yeah, oh
Papers in the roadside
Tell of suffering and greed
Fear today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh, here besides the news
Of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk
And I don't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Every world
Is my world (I will learn to survive)
Any world
Is my world (I will learn to survive)
Any world
Is my world
Every world
Is my world
CSX B724 is seen navigating through the swamp in Sterling as they head north bound for Teknor Apex in Leominster. Although I would prefer the engine to be facing the right way, I'll take it because this is probably the cut-off day for good light here till next year.
The Pea Island (Oregon Inlet) life saving station is historically very important because it was the first life-saving station in the country to have an all-black crew, and it was the first in the nation to have a black man, Richard Etheridge, as commanding officer. The ocean in front of the Outer Banks is also known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic" because of the several shipwrecks lying on the bottom of the ocean. The frequent storms cause a continue shifting of the sand coast and inlet. This makes these waters extremely dangerous to navigate and for this reason pirates use to hide in the islands (Plymouth and Ocracoke islands). The life saving stations across the coast were therefore part of the system to rescue sailors.

Sarovar Vihar, also known as Patratu Lake Resort, is a picturesque lakeside retreat located approximately 35 km from Ranchi, in the Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. Nestled beside the scenic Patratu Dam, this resort offers a blend of natural beauty and modern amenities, making it a popular destination for both relaxation and adventure
Patratu Lake is renowned for its boating experiences. Visitors can enjoy motorboat rides, pedal boating, and, on occasion, cruise boat services. However, as of May 2025, the resort's cruise boats, which were previously stationed in Prayagraj for the Mahakumbh festival, have yet to return, leading to some visitor disappointment
