The Yantic River flowing past some old industrial buildings downstream from Yantic Falls.

To reach the port of Ilulissat in late July, ships may have to navigate through the treacherous remnants of ice floes from the nearby glacier. Once we waited until morning to dock.

♫ Inna - Magical Love ♫

I knew what I saw, you, you will be mine

You're not an angel but you're divine

I try to move forward, you make me rewind

Maybe that's the magic of love

When you use your powers, I can not decline

Take one look into my eyes and read my mind

I try to move forward, you make me rewind

Baby, that's the magic of love

Baby, that's the magic of love

Baby, that's the magic of love

(Maybe, maybe

Maybe that's the magic of love

Maybe, maybe

Maybe that's the magic of love)

This is an overview of how the backwaters interconnect. The backwaters are made up of lakes, rivers and canals. The boats that provide transportation are found in all shapes and sizes. The large boat is one of the house boats made from an old rice barge. Very clever transformation I would say. And now tourists flock to Kerala for an overnight stay on a houseboat.

I was on one of my un-navigated, directionless walkabouts with nothing particular in mind when I happened around a corner to be presented with the above, behind a row of private garages, it struck me with this little seat propped onto of these tyres, unlike the parasites we suffer unto as what we call a monarchy, living amongst stolen gold and tax evading luxury at our expense, by merely being born of chance, who pay for nothing in the middle of a cost of living crisis, flying around in private jets whilst the rest of us are soon to be ordered to stay at home thanks to the climate change hoax!

I hope everyone is well and so as always thank you!

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Its alert eyes reflect deep intelligence, primal curiosity, and mastery of its environment ---symbolizing independence, resilience, and quiet strength as it navigates a winter forest.

Taken while I was out skiing. I was hoping the encounter would last a little longer, but it was only for a fleeting moment and then it was gone. In that moment we shared a similar connection, we are both lone wolves preferring the silence winter brings.

TRUTH

We all have our own truth

Credos that we abide by

It stops us falling into murky waters

Getting lost by the wayside

It can be difficult staying on the path

I wish I had Dante and Virgil at my side

Instead I rely on your light to guide me

Love like a burning flame inside

I knew it would not be easy

I have my own steep hills to climb

But I would do it all again if you asked me

At least I can say I have tried

This flame may die down into embers

Ready to ignite at your word

Such love can never be extinguished

Like a heart that never really dies

Can I still find my way through the forest

Navigate my way past the lies

See the truth of you in front of me

Answering all the tears that I have cried

I have been taking a little break from Flickr after my last upload of images. So consequently I am a bit behind with my usual thank you’s. So I thought I would place this up here in the meantime for you to thank you all for your support. Those of you who have got to know me and my work know how much these pieces mean to me, and the journey that led me to create them and share them here. Each poem is deeply felt and a reality to me, and can be emotionally challenging to write. I am learning that not only do I need time to create them, I also need time to rest in between them. Thank you again for all your kind words, faves and views. I would have found it difficult to keep going without you.

If you saw what this guy had to go through and not touching a twig or branch doing it was just remarkable.

There is a who,e series of this guy and the agility and form that he displayed was awesome, wish I knew how to do video.

Thanks to all for everything.

Not the sharpest of shots but I am a little out of practice! Plus it was shot through the back door.

But I love the squirrels that frequent the garden. We can have up to 7 at any one time. Plus lots of different birds and a couple of very persistent cats!

We are trying everything possible to keep them out as we don't put out bird food to create a smorgasbord for the felines, but so far they have navigated spikes, netting and strategically placed prickly stuff.

I guess that one way or another, nature will do what it pleases.

West Coast Adventure on the packet freighter M. V. Frances Barkley, Port Alberni to Bamfield, British Columbia, and back. The ship brings supplies and mail to communities on Barkley Sound and joining inlets. As we thread our way down British Columbia's Barkley Sound, we come to the Uchucklesit Inlet on the right. The inlet leads to the unincorporated community of Kildona. In 1903 a fish cannery was built there by the Alberni Packing Co. The cannery was the first fish cannery on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Today there isn't much left except for pilings sticking out of the water and a few holiday homes. As we travelled through the Sound, numerous bears, seals, sea lions, and humpback whales were seen. The natural beauty all around us made the journey unforgettable.

I'm back, after six days of boats shooting. Be prepared to navigate my friends !

Eagle Island is a 22 acre rock outcrop which rises a sheer 200 feet from the storm tossed Atlantic ocean.

The two lighthouses on Eagle Island were switched on in September 1835. Because of its close proximity to the continental shelf Eagle Island experiences unusually large waves and over the years the lanterns were regularly damaged by waves and water-borne rocks

The lighthouses were located in the east and in the west of Eagle Island (Oileán san Tuaidh) with 132 yards between them. The lights were aligned at a height of 220 feet above sea level and could be seen to the east as far as Broadhaven Bay and to the south as far as Blacksod Bay.

One of the lighthouses stopped functioning after it was damaged beyond repair by a storm in 1894, but the powerful beacon of the second lighthouse continued to warn and guide ships navigating the waters off the treacherous North Mayo coastline.

After almost 200 years of guiding mariners to safety, the lantern room and domed roof of the lighthouse tower had reached the end of their working life. The old lighthouse dome, the lantern room, the large glass lens and the bath of mercury in which the lens rotated were all removed. They were replaced with a stainless steel structure designed to withstand the aggressive and relentless marine environment.

So I'd propose the question;

What constitutes 'Landscape' photography?

Avant garde image making refreshing the space between your eyes and your brain.

Song by Duran Duran

Lyrics

Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue

Thought I heard you talking softly

I turned on the lights, the TV, and the radio

Still, I can't escape the ghost of you

What has happened to it all?

Crazy, some'd say

Where is the life that I recognize?

(Gone away)

But I won't cry for yesterday

There's an ordinary world

Somehow I have to find

And as I try to make my way

To the ordinary world

I will learn to survive

Passion or coincidence

Once prompted you to say

"Pride will tear us both apart"

Well now pride's gone out the window

Cross the rooftops

Run away

Left me in the vacuum of my heart

What is happening to me?

Crazy, some'd say

Where is my friend when I need you most?

(Gone away)

But I won't cry for yesterday

There's an ordinary world

Somehow I have to find

And as I try to make my way

To the ordinary world

I will learn to survive

Ooh-ooh-ooh, ah-ah

Oh, yeah, oh

Papers in the roadside

Tell of suffering and greed

Fear today, forgot tomorrow

Ooh, here besides the news

Of holy war and holy need

Ours is just a little sorrowed talk

And I don't cry for yesterday

There's an ordinary world

Somehow I have to find

And as I try to make my way

To the ordinary world

I will learn to survive

Every world

Is my world (I will learn to survive)

Any world

Is my world (I will learn to survive)

Any world

Is my world

Every world

Is my world
