I travelled in hope of getting a ticket from one of the characters I used to see and hear 20 years on Trent Bridge. No such luck this day. Nottingham Forest V Crystal Palace. Had to listen from outside but at least it was dry.

Lesson learned. Get a membership next season.

A few weeks ago I did some aerial photography over Nottingham City...I was amazed at how such familiar sites looked so different from the air ;o))

………NO,NO,NO, i’m still a COUNTY fan, honest !!!!!. Nikon D610/18-35mm..

Old Big Head.

Brian Clough was an English professional footballer who played for Middlesborough and Sunderland in the late 50's and early 60's.

He was a prolific centre forward who scored goals galore.

Injury ended his playing career too soon, but he want on to manage several teams to success and in 1975 he was appointed manager at Nottingham Forest.

The next few years were transformational for a provincial and unfashionable team.

Anyway I was lucky enough to be able to travel and watch his team in the early 90's and follow them to this day.

This is my scarf around his neck on his statue in Nottingham City Centre.

Old Big Head was the name the UK press gave him because he knew he could punch above his weight, but he could deliver the big prizes.

Good game. Ipswich fans were good and contributed to a great atmosphere.

(Photos by World Farmer Staff) As we join thousands of family farmers, food justice advocates, friends, allies, and collaborators in mourning the loss of Kathy Ozer, long time executive director of the National Family Farm Coalition, we must also take time to celebrate her life and legacy.

Join the NAMA and our co-hosts Farm Aid, Food and Water Watch, Food for Maine’s Future, Gloucester Fishermen’s Wives Association, Rural Coalition, Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts, Why Hunger, Women of Fishing Families, and World Farmers for an evening of food, music, and friends.

The night will feature a feast of seafood dishes featuring the catch of New England's community-based fishermen mixed with some landfood from the region’s family farmers. You’ll enjoy cocktails, live music by the SeaFire Kids, and cooking demonstrations by local chefs, while you remember Kathy and scheme about how you will work to continue the fight for those who catch, grow, and raise our food.

Our sponsors, chefs, and food providers for the evening include:

As the executive director of National Family Farm Coalition, Kathy's commitment to elevating the voice of family farmers was essential to address the injustices that ensued after the farm crisis. In 2008, recognizing the similarities between family farmers and community-based fishermen, Kathy invited the Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance to become a member of NFFC. From there she advocated as strongly for community-based fishermen as she had been doing for family farmers.

Kathy passed away peacefully on January 22, 2017 after a battling lymphoma. We are committed to honoring her many years of service to bettering this world - especially for all the people who nurture and support us through good food - by staying in the fight.

Both Ipswich Town and Cambridge United fail to win. Happy New Year? I think not. :(

Atleast it didn't rain! Well done Forest but sadly you can't play us every week.

Nottingham Forest and Trent Bridge from a helicopter ride.

International Students from NTU went to watch local football club Nottingham Forest face Championship rivals Middlesbrough on 6 November 2012.

Nottingham Forest have a rich history, with 2 European Cup wins and 4 League Titles. The club was also home to Brian Clough who was their manager from 1975-1993.

An action-packed match; there were plenty of chances to score from both sides but neither side could find the back of the net and the game finished in a 0-0 draw.

Waving out the Helicopter after the Match ball has been dropped off

It is 3 April 2014, or Stuart Pearce Day, a time for rejoicing in Nottingham. The appointment of a club legend as manager is certainly no guarantee of success, these things can go horribly wrong, but there is an important emotional string between a fan and a football club that for many who have become disillusioned will have been re-attached by confirmation of today’s news.

Fans of a certain age are being whisked back to their youths when a rampaging left back won their hearts. The crunching tackles, the thunderous free kicks, the marauding runs and the Herculean thighs all combined to lift an electrician into a hero.... Psycho! Psycho! Psycho!

Today, however, is for the celebration of a returning hero. Through 12 years of wonderful service as a player Stuart Pearce deserves a glorious return and whether he succeeds or fails he remains one of the greats, one of the reasons we love Nottingham Forest. For much of this season I have felt myself drifting away, not wanting to watch my club being dragged through the mud, but today I look forward. Today I wear a grin that is broad and foolish. We are Nottingham Forest, Psycho is our leader! Legend!"

"I'd ask him how he thinks it should be done, have a chat about it for twenty minutes and then decide I was right" - on dealing with players disagreeing with his methods.
