Lake Lugano is a glacial lake which is situated on the border between southern Switzerland and northern Italy. The lake, named after the city of Lugano, is situated between Lake Como and Lago Maggiore.
There are various mountains and tourist destinations on the shores of the lake.
This scenic road is very narrow, but the old buildings and houses are so fascinated!

During our road trip through Switzerland, we were allowed to enjoy an evening in the beautiful Swiss city of Lugano at the even more beautiful Lake Lugano.

Un macho de lúgano (Spinus spinus); uno de los fringílidos más bonitos que algunos inviernos, como éste, nos visitan en grandes cantidades.
Circondata da bellissime montagne, come il Monte Salvatore e il Monte Brè e lambita dalle tranquille acque del lago, Lugano è una cittadina ordinata e molto curata, caratterizzata da un’atmosfera tipicamente mediterranea, caratteristica che la rende la destinazione ideale in ogni stagione dell’anno.

The LAC (Lugano Arte e Cultura) is a building finished in 2015 by the architect Ivano Gianola. It houses the art museum "Museo d`Arte Svizzera" for art and exhibitions with 2500 square meters and a theater hall which offers space for 1000 visitors for the city of Lugano and for the Tessin (Ticino). Fascinating is the thrilling tension of the new building and its direct neighbor, the ancient church and monastery "Santa Maria degli Angioli" with its historic cloister. You can see this interesting tension in this picture.

The toponym is first recorded in 804, in the form Luanasco, in 874 as Luano, and from 1189 as Lugano. German-language variants of the name (now no longer in use) were Lowens, Lauis, Lauwis, Louwerz. The local Lombard form of the name is rendered Lugan.[citation needed] The etymology of the name is uncertain, suggestions include derivation from Latin lucus ("grove"), from a vulgar Latin lakvannus ("lake-dweller")] and from the god Lugus.
Lugano is a city in southern Switzerland in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino bordering Italy. It has a population (as of December 2017) of 63,494, and an urban agglomeration of over 145,000. The 9th largest Swiss city, it is the largest in Ticino and largest with an Italian speaking majority outside of Italy. The city lies on Lake Lugano, surrounded by the mountains of the Lugano Prealps. The eastern part of the city shares a border with Italy.

El lúgano, lugano o jilguero lúgano es una especie de ave paseriforme de la familia de los fringílidos. Es muy común por toda Europa y Asia, se le encuentra en zonas boscosas, tanto de coníferas como en bosques mixtos, donde se alimenta de semillas de todo tipo, especialmente de alisos y coníferas.

El edificio, flanqueado por un osario, fue mencionado por primera vez en 1372, pero fue modificado radicalmente en 1570, con la adición del campanario, y de manera más decisiva en el siglo XVII: en 1694 se alargaron las tres naves y la central se levantó uno, se levantó el coro, se reemplazaron los pilares, para un trabajo general que le dio a la iglesia un claro aire barroco.
Chiedo scusa a tutti i miei contatti ed ai miei carissimi amici per i miei scarsi commenti nell'ultimo periodo........ho una dolorosa infiammazione al braccio destro (da più di 2 mesi !) che non mi permette di usare il mouse per troppo tempo !
Dopo aver consultato il medico, fatto applicazioni esterne, preso antinfiammatori per bocca.........un pochino ERO migliorata.
L'altra mattina, per la solita passeggiata mattutina con Alice, mi sono messa a tracolla la macchina fotografica col teleobbiettivo (volevo fotografare un airone). Sono stata in giro 2 ore, ho fatto parecchi scatti, tra cui questo, tenendo il guinzaglio a sinistra e la macchina fotografica solo con la destra ( che peso ! ) e........mi è tornato il male !!!!!!

Quindi............grazie a chi continua a seguirmi lo stesso, anche se non posso ancora commentare come avevo ripreso a fare :-)))
