(237/366) Low tide at Passage East harbour, quick iPhone shot taken while waiting for the car ferry to get home. Happy Wall Wednesday!
Migrating Monarch butterfly pausing for a moment on its way to points south.
Common, but not abundant.
Low flying Heron at Hamwall RSPB Nature Reserve earlier today. The Glossy Ibis were about as well as Kingfisher, Egreats (great and small) but all at a distance. Good company though and between the heavy showers there was plenty of sunshine.
This was taken around midday and, as such, only a smaller arc of the rainbow was visible so it appears low to the ground. Rainbows look higher when the sun is lower. Conversely if I'd been higher, the rainbow would have appeared taller (more of the arc being visible).
I had to look all this up as I was concerned a low bow would mean the pot of gold was buried deeper.

Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!
So this is the south side of the Dutch Island Terschelling. A co-incidence that it was low tide where neat small islands popped up. The atmosphere with no wind and high temperatures made it a great summer feel. The next day I biked up here with my family, all was covered with seawater. Thanks all for your comments and favs
Gray white clouds at low altitude which in early morning cover a large, lower part of a mountain located at the western side of Subic Bay in Zambales, Philippines.
I thought this sign was a little unnecessary. If the aircraft are flying that low, they are going to hit the trees way before they get low enough to hit me. The autumn color is about at peak now. I thought the reds in this grouping of trees made an attractive roadside display.
Pelicans are the masters of the graceful low level glide. This one was from the archives about a year and a half ago as it glided by at Lake Albert near Meningie in South Australia.
Happy Wing Wednesday!
This is the road down Danby Dale to the village of Castleton and the hill is called Danby Low Moor.
It is located in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, England
If you look carefully on top of the hill you can see the new telephone mast (wrong company for me)
Happy Fence Friday (HFF)
Taken two hours before sunset, large stretches of sandbars made their appearances at low tide here at Canoe Cove on Prince Edward Island.
Locals were out and about - standup paddleboarding, clamming, walking - enjoying life, celebrating a day with fine weather.
A most epic afterglow was about to take place in a few hours... 😊
PS: That's Nova Scotia on the other side of the Northumberland Strait...

I went to do a photo shoot the other day, and my husband, wandered down the road looking for deer. Instead he found this stunning view ~of course I had to get a picture
I'm starting to appreciate low tide photography a bit more as you can get some really nice sand reflections and textures. I messed up twice; firstly arriving a bit too late for this lovely light, this was actually a quick arrival shot to make sure I had something in the bag.
By the time I positioned myself in front of some interesting rocks and attached my filters the light had all disappeared with next to no colour. It was so uninspiring that I called it quits but then when I got home of course the sky was full of pink streaks 🙈😭
