The Coast Guard rescue helicopter doing training exercises right outside the hotel - I swear it was for our benefit. Oh, you've got a group of unschoolers all together at a hotel? We're on the way - watch this! Huge helicopter - rescue boat - diver throwing in a dummy then going in after it. WOW! Half the conference was outside watching this show. It was EXCITING! Kiernen held his ears for the noise but he didn't cry, and he was delighted! I felt for that diver, it was COLD outside - I can only imagine what the water must have been like.
The Holit sign just outside of the kibbutz (visible behind the letters is the fence that surrounds the kibbutz).

My second Grizzly tour with Tide Rip Grizzly to Knight Inlet was during 2020. I was solo with a group of strangers and masked the entire time. It was fall and a different experience. I met Anthony Bucci on this trip - a fellow amazing photographer here on Vancouver Island. This bear was definitely smelling us in the distance. (Shot with Nikon d850 500mm, cropped and edited on LR mobile).
